Features & Highlights

  • All her life, Elphame never felt like she belonged. From birth she was always set apart, infinitely different from her family and the people of Partholon, because she had so obviously been touched by the great Goddess Epona.
  • When she feels the call of the ancient and crumbling MacCallan Castle, deserted since the Formorian war over a century ago, Elphame knows that she belongs to its impressive walls, fated to be its keeper. With the help of many others seeking a new home and fresh start to life, Elphame and her newfound clan begin to rebuild the great halls of the castle.
  • But after she is rescued in the surrounding forest by a mysterious, extraordinary, and uniquely handsome man whose painful origin threatens the safety of her people, she must choose between the life she fought to create and the love for him that grows within.

Great series, good read

I really love the partholon series. I found it interesting and a good read. I'd give it a 5 but I really need someone to explain to me how it's 125 years after the first book because Shannon is pregnant with Myrna by the end of the war in the first book. Myrna lives 18 years and dies giving birth to Etain, now it doesn't say how old Etain was when she gave birth to Elphame but by doing simple math, 125 - Elphame's 25 years and Myrna's 18 years...Etain would have started having children at the young age of 82...so I'm extremely confused by the time line...other than that it is a good story.

Page Turner / couldn't put it down

This series was good. It got in the story right away and kept you in it. There wasn't a time where I wanted to put it down.
