Not so much let down as bored.

Another Joker story where Joker hardly feels like Joker and more just some anarchy themed clown. This time Joker has a side kick named Punchline (who takes a lot of the center stage through the story) and a gimmick where he can make zombies.

The artwork is good, and the story isn't offensively bad, just forgettable, which in some ways is worse. Joker has none of his loony comedian personality, but instead spends all of his dialogue giving cheap philosophy lessons on the nature of Gotham and mankind being inherently bad. He doesn't at all feel like the character from BTAS, or the Arkham video games because his personality isn't sadistic one minute, jovial the next, but more just a creepy cynic that dresses like a clown.

The character hasn't been the same since Grant Morrison's run, but Morrison at least had an idea of what he wanted to do with the character. He's felt aimless for years and this story hammers in the point that any story with the Joker is just going to be a repetitive exercise going through the motions.

3 Jokers, while not without its issues, was better. Artwork was better, and overall I liked the story more too. I've been tapering off of DC since Bendis was hired on, and I think that I'm going to use this as my jumping off point because I've got no interest in Tynion's upcoming Ghost Maker arc. IMO all of Tynion's other original characters he's introduced since starting this title (Punchline, the Designer and ugghhhh....Clownhunter?) have been major flops, so not really eager to see where he's going with that. It's a shame since his Detective Comics was good, but two arcs in and this series is bad. Not sticking around to find out what's left.

Time to say goodbye

After reading Batman books
For 4 decades its time.
Time to get off...after seeing
Batman reunited with Catwoman I should have quit this Book..I should have kept that image of the end of the King run..in my mind.
But no I had to go Back to see the Joker wars.
Writers have been Blowing up Gotham since No Mans land...Its too repetitive
Where is the Cloak and dagger plots Like the Snyder run.?

The Joker killing thousands
Yet Batman wont kill him
To save thousand others. And where was the rest of the héroes ???. Its not our fault to expect Superman or Flash or Green lantern to step in. Are they not
Always every where?
There was a time a writer would take the time to explain this..not anymore
I know comics.. are fantasy
Made to entertain..but how
Are you entertained..with such senseless slaughter?
And then the ending more killing.
Just to let you know that this
Will continue on forever.
Well it can continue without me.

Another WINNER!!

Beautiful art, a well paced and clearly readable script ; it felt very movie like. This creative team easily hits the standard of the great creative “ bat-teams” of the past. An absolute joy and honor to add to my bookshelf at home!

Came great

Great condition. Came on time well packaged to protect the book. Love the book good quality hardcover. I really like the art style in this ansd I know there are mixed reviews on her but I'm loving punchline. So all in all I would have like to get the joker war saga print but all reviews said big problems with the printing so I settled for this one. I dont regret it for the good quality and great work.

Read the first one and I was hooked

I just love the many ways they twist Bats and Mr J. I never tire of seeing just how far Joker will take it in hopes of pushing Batman over the edge. This was another interesting twist

Realistic Science Fiction

Rings familiar with all the area primiscule violence of all the neighborhoods that I live and have lived in.
