Dean Koontz...is among these artisans.”— Suspense Magazine “[Koontz] has always had near-Dickensian powers of description, and an ability to yank us from one page to the next that few novelists can match.”— Los Angeles Times “Perhaps more than any other author, Koontz writes fiction perfectly suited to the mood of America...novels that acknowledge the reality and tenacity of evil but also the power of good...[and that] entertain vastly as they uplift.”— Publishers Weekly Dean Koontz ,xa0the author of many #1 New York Times bestsellers, lives in Southern California with his wife, Gerda, their golden retriever, Elsa, and the enduring spirit of their goldens, Trixie and Anna.

It was good!

Im a huge Dean Koontz fan and I would have to say this not one of my favorites. It’s good, the only thing for me was that it seemed like the story line dragged a bit. That is why the 4 stars.

A Great Book

This was a great story. I love Dean Koontz and this just encouraged my obsession. The only complaint I would have was it was too short. Highly recommend this story.

I remember thinking this was the best book ever when I read it for the first time in 6th grade. Reading it as an adult it was decidedly less great, but still pretty good.

Ending? What Ending...

I really enjoy Dean Koontz and I really enjoyed The Mask, right up until the ending. Wait, what ending? There was no ending! I finished the page and turn it excited to see how the story would play out and was shocked to find there were no more pages. That was it? That was an ending? I'm so disappointed...

Disappointing

If this had been the 1st Dean Koontz book I've ever read I would never ever be a fan or even touch another of his books. It's boring. It's a slow burn until you reach the last chapter where it finally reached it's climax and ends so abruptly I thought it was incomplete. I actually thought the remainder of the book had been ripped out. It lacks character development. The plot is very trite. Trying to hard to build suspense. It feels hurried.

Great Koontz Thriller

This was a great, fast read. The pacing is swift and the occult plot-line held my attention until the end.
