Can't Read the Book on my Kindle App.

I love all of Kim Harrison's books. That is why I was so dissapointed when I paid $13.00 for the Kindle Version and can't really read it on my iPad. I don't know why but the App. does not allow me to increase the text size, even though it is the latest version on my iPad. I normally would complain to Amazon's Customer Service but can't find a way to do this with Digital Purchases. It's also too late for me to return the book because I waited 8 days to open it. Very dissapointed with how this book appears...I hear it's good.

A must have!!!

First let me say that anyone giving this book less than five stars either did not understand the nature of (as in inherent to) a guide book into the inner-world of an urban-fantasy; OR they bought the Kindle version. If it is the latter, I understand your disappointment. I bought the Kindle version and it is awful-- not the book, the format. Please do not judge the book by its format! (Btw, shame on you Amazon for even offering it as a viable option! I had to spend more money and buy the hard copy. I didn't return the Kindle version because I am hoping that future updates will fix the problem.)

Why do I believe this book deserves five stars? Because the book delivers on EVERY promise made--including "new fiction". The "new fiction" were stories told through the private journal writings of a reporter, newspaper articles, private emails, office memos, and even expense reports! How amazingly fun (and out of the box) that Harrison used fan photos for the newspaper articles!

Do not buy this book if you are not a long time fan of sci-fi and fantasy and understand the gift such a guide book truly is...and whatever you do DO NOT buy the Kindle version until they fix the format!!!

KINDLE IS NOT A SUITABLE FORMAT TO READ THIS BOOK

WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS TO READ ON YOUR KINDLE. I love Kim Harrison and the world of the Hollows, but this book is not suitable to read on a Kindle. I wish someone had warned me about this. Can't see images clearly, have to constantly adjust text and image size for every new page. Wish I had gotten hardback version instead.

Got the kindle version, would've preferred the actual book on this one because of the way the material is formatted.

I'm a big fan of Harrison's Hollows series and have been debating this purchase for a few years. Up front I will tell you that there really isn't TOO MUCH here that the main books & stories do not cover...but there are some very interesting insights to be had (specifically the inner workings over at Kalamack Industries). It's set up as a dossier created by an investigative reporter trying to dig into Vampiric Charms & the Cincinnati/Inderland scene.

I would highly recommend this in the actual book format NOT the kindle.

Because of the unusual way the material is presented (like you're thumbing through a file complete with post its, interdepartmental memos etc) the Kindle is really tough to mess around with just to read. I have one of the older Kindle models so perhaps the newer tablet ones might be a little more user friendly.

For the casual reader of the series....you probably could skip this, but if you are a fanatic/completist, it makes an interesting addition to the library.

Don’t waste your money on this one

Wish I had not bought this-too small of print on many pages to read. Disappointed

Don't read on a small screen

The inability to zoom in on this book really makes it hard to read.
Otherwise - nice look into the details behind the series.

Rip off

Not as in depth as I expected, nothing new if you read the books. Not sure what the point of this book was.
