Photographer's Guide to the Nikon Coolpix P900: Getting the Most from Nikon's Superzoom Digital Camera

Nicely done. Much easier to learn the features than with the Nikon guide.

So many good things have been written about Mr. White's guide that it is impossible to add. Suffice to say that I have rarely read a comparable "How To" guide that was as comprehensive, systematical, clear, user-friendly, and generally pleasant to read. A really big chapeau for Mr. White!!! Above all, it made me like my new 900 (which I originally quite detested). Nikon owes Mr. White a big thank you. I added as a testimonial a shot made just yesterday with my 900 of a Collared Pranticole.

I haven't finished it yet so nor have I put all its information to work. But I am well into it and hands-on referencing my new P900 as I go through the text on my Android/Kindle and I really like what I see. Worth the $. And it was just so convenient to find such a book online at Amazon and then download it to my phone so quickly and easily. And then to think that wherever I am with my camera I can easily refer to the information on my phone - fantastic! I probably sound like I work for Amazon and/or Mr. White but I don't!

He tells you all about it but there's no pictures or charts.

Excellent, clearly written and organized beautifully on Kindle. Much better than using the Nikon materials. Also contains some useful tips for improving one's photos which for me, as more than a beginner but no pro, were helpful. Contains many sample photos and examples of how this camera can perform as you run it thru its paces. The author has put some real effort into this primer.

This book could be better, but since there aren't many choices out their for this camera it is probably the best one available. So, I won't be to unhappy with it. I usually use abook like this as a reference, l don't read them cover and the book has been a help more times than not. At this point I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guide to others.

After downloading and reading through Nikon's PDF manual for the Coolpix P900, I felt the need for more thorough explanations. This guide covers all of the camera's many features in a depth not provided by the official manual. One camera accessory every P900 owner should acquire.

Tells it all.

The Nikon P900 has so many features it is hard to know all the features let alone how to use them. I knew it had a manual setting but I could never figure out how to set the aperture and shutter speed. This book helps with all of that. Even figured out how to use the scenes. I've got a Nikon D700 and D7100 but for family vacations this is the camera I use and I use it a lot more after getting this book.

Thanks to the reviews of other readers, I felt comfortable in buying this book, and it did not disappoint. Lots of useful information in it.
