Llama Llama Birthday Party!

My 3 year old loves the Llama llama series, and he loves stickers, so this seemed like a win-win. Wrong. The "reusable" stickers are not reusable at all. If you try to peel them off once you place them on the page, they rip. I had to peel the stickers off the initial sticker sheet for my son since they were so flimsy, and I even ripped a few.

As if the stickers weren't disappointing enough, this is not a story. The pages have one line like, "they are eating cake," and on the adjacent page it says "place the stickers," etc.

Over all, I am very disappointed in this book and would not recommend buying it.

Like the other reviewers, we are big Llama Llama fans. I was so excited to get this book. I was disappointed a little, compared to the other Llama Llama books. The lines dont rhyme. The stickers, although it says they are reusable, aren't easy to get off the sticker pages (for me much less my 3 year old) and most of them ended up getting ripped or were so flimsy that they stuck to each other. The good news is that the illustrations on pages are full without them... in other words, the lack of stickers on the pages doesn't render the book a total loss. If you are looking for a novelty book, you will be happy, but Im sorry to say that this one won't be one we reach for again and again like the other Llama Llama books.

My daughter was very excited for this book. She loves llama llama and was looking forward to a book about a birthday party. The book came today and we were both disappointed. There is no real story and none of the usual llama llama charm. The stickers were fun and plentiful. But now that she has put them all on the pages, there's nothing left to do with the book. No story to read and no more activities.

If your child usually loves these stories, I would skip this one. It's nothing like the others and is overall disappointing.

Simply a sticker book with too few stickers after which you can only look at the pictures (a few pages). Not worth this much.

My toddler loves this book, but as a fan of the LLama LLama series, I was disappointed in the story and lack of rhyming. It's a fun "play" book, but it's not ideal for before bed like the other Llama Llama books.

I absolutely love llama llama! My Son Birthday is coming up so I was excited that they had a llama llama birthday book! I saw it had stickers didn’t think much of it because I thought I’ll just tear them out(My Son has never been a sticker fan. I don’t know why.) the book came in the mail today and I was so excited to read it to him but I just felt let down. It didn’t have the cute rhyming or anything. Just one sentence on a page and then let’s put stickers on. Not a fan. Wish I could return because I don’t plan my n reading it again but my son used one of the stickers on the first page.

This book was cute. It is not the thick paged books like all of the other llama books (likely due to it being a sticker book). The story does not rhyme like the other book. Overall, fairly disappointing.

I did not realize this was a sticker book which was disappointing, but that was my own mistake.

I am more disappointed that there is no real story. The book should have been written in the typical manner of the Llama Llama books with the stickers being more of a side note. My son is only a year old so we haven't used the stickers and without the stickers, the book is terrible. Unfortunately, my son does know how much he loves other Llama Llama books and continues to bring me this one to read.

The stickers are so sticky they are hard to reuse. Then grandma came to the rescue! If you stick a sticker to your clothes or the carpet a couple times before putting it on the page, it loses enough of the stickiness to be much more easily removed and reused. (I seldom write reviews, but after grandma showed us this trick I wanted to share.)

They stickers are a bit thin, so you do have to be careful so they don’t tear.

Other than those issues, this is a great book. My toddler LOVES it and has a blast putting stickers on the pages (we gave it to her for her 2nd birthday, so we do all the peeling off of the stickers and she puts them on pages).
