First 50 Disney Songs You Should Play on Ukulele Songbook

I love this book!! I was nervous to buy it because I'm definitely a beginner. Before purchasing this, I had learned to play about 4-5 songs that only really used chords Am, C, D, F, and G. This book is great because at my level there are at least 6 songs that I could play within minutes. Then there are a good amount that will take a little practice without being frustrating, and then a handful that will take lots of practice. It's a perfect book to work up to challenging songs without feeling frustrated. (Good beginner songs (at least for me) were I Just Can't Wait to be King, Kiss the Girl, It's a Small World, Supercalifragalistic..., Zippadeedoodah, Lava, and Colors of the Wind). I also love that this includes music from all eras of Disney ,including the most recent (Frozen, Moana, Coco). Really great book! Only downside is there aren't strumming patterns provided, so you have to figure that out on your own, but that makes it kind of fun.

I am so happy I went ahead and ordered this music book, I have a large number of piano, guitar and ukulele music books and do not need another,, however; this music book is perfect with the exception of not being spiral bound.

It has the lyrics, it has the melody notes, it has the chord diagrams and the arrangements are very well done. My grandchildren are just beginning into music and this book will be a delight for them and grandma;-) My granddaughter loves to sing, so lyrics are important. I like that it has melody notes and chords as I will play these pieces on piano, guitar and ukulele. The chord diagrams make it easy for the little ones to learn the chord shapes. I love everything about this book! I will probably take it to a copy store and have it spiral bound so it will lay flat.

This is a keeper! Fun, nice arrangements, melody notes and chord diagrams, yay! Think lead sheets, fake book and chord diagrams rolled into one!

This book has some old favorites and some new as well. Lots of Disney fun. Most have easy standard chores with a few places requiring more difficult combinations. Still, lots of fun music!

I am really enjoying it! I am a beginner/intermediate and I can't play every song yet but some of them are coming along. I like that the songs have lots of chords instead of just three. They are so much more interesting that way. I also really like the selection of songs - it's a good variety with lots of popular songs and a few that I wasn't really familiar with.
My one complaint with this book (and many other song books) is that there are always songs where the range is too high for me to sing! Seriously, how many people in the target audience of this book can hit a high F? More accomplished musicians can transpose the music into a different key but as for me... I just can't sing those songs. (There are still plenty I can sing in this book.)
Overall though I think it's a great book and I would recommend it.

I bought this for my great-niece as a gift to help her learn the ukulele...

She seemed pretty excited when I surprised her with it, and told me she knew a LOT of Disney songs, so she'd be able to learn to play a lot of songs from it...

I showed her how it had the fingerings for the chords above the words, so she could learn the new chords first, and then the chord symbols indicated where to change the chords when she was ready to start playing the song, which she got pretty excited about (telling her dad "I can learn more chords right here...!", pointing to the songbook).

Being new to musical notation, I showed her what some of the symbols like repeat signs were and what they meant, and what some of the directions meant, being written in Italian as they are, and showed her how it was basically a set of instructions for how to play the song.. and told her if she had any questions that came up along the way, to remember what she wanted to know and to ask me the next time I came over to visit, which she seemed pretty happy to know she had a resource to help her out if she needed any help.

So, now I'm looking forward to seeing how she's coming along, and what new songs she's learned when I next go over to visit... ;-)

I love the variety this music book has to offer. I will it would give strumming patterns but the chords are listed and music is fairly simple. Great purchase for a novice musician.

Love the Disney songs! Just what I wanted.

Awesome selection of Disney songs but definitely not for beginners. Some of the chords are complicated and many of the songs have multiple chord changes and several chords within the song. The book is more suited to intermediate and beyond.

Like the song selection of this compilation. Only thing I would ask is to put it in a spiral bound book for easier page turning.

Some of the songs are more challenging to learn than others, but the music sheets are easy to follow for beginners. The songs all sound beautiful! This book has given me a great new hobby
