Exile by Denise Mina

I only recently discovered Denise Mina and have thoroughly enjoyed reading her novels, especially the trilogy that Exile is part of.
It is refreshing to read novels which truly reflect the realities of life in her native Glasgow. Not always a pretty life but not sugar coated and
dressed up drama like so many other novels these days.
The women's issues that are at the core of her novels are almost an indictment of a society that allows them to persist.
