A fine piece of wrestling literature

I've read some wrestling bios in my day, and this is up there with the best. No drunken hijinks or pill-fueled adventures, just a guy who loves wrestling. The Craig parts are fairly embarrassing (we know Brie is attractive, you can stop reiterating that), but Bryan's stories more than make up for it.

Good read for Daniel Bryan fans

Good read for Daniel Bryan fans. Doesn't provide the depth of the Mick Foley, Jericho or Bret Hart autobiographies, but it's good. Really quick read, good for fans.

Daniel Bryan seems like such a nice guy!

First things first (I'm the realest), I wanted to give this book five stars on the basis on how much I enjoy Bryan Danielson the man and the performer. I usually blow right through wrestling books but this one took forever to get through and I think the reason is because it feels like he's so limited in what he can talk about. The book focuses on Bryan's journey from indie hero to Wrestlemania 30 wherein he wins the world title but I feel like there's more to be said. What about the weeks since Wrestlemania where he was subsequently buried by management into a weak feud with Kane? What of his injuries since Wrestlemania? I feel like he's forced to hold back so much that he ends up sounding sanitized. I very much would like to see a version of this book after he and Bri are retired so that we can get the "full look" at his career. For now, this is a four star book that really doesn't add much to the WWE Network Documentary and that says a lot...

Say YES to YES

Good read!!! He didn't go to a lot of detail on some subjects which is why the rating is not 4 stars but still worth picking up

Very good read

This was a fun fast reading book. I was surprised about how honest he was about his wwe career. He describes his frustrations with storylines. He also tells about the people who helped and supported him. He talks about his independent career and Japan. It was cool to read about his matches on the indies with future wwe stars Cesaro and Seth Rollings. Very good read

It's interesting and amazing that in this day and age

It's interesting and amazing that in this day and age, no matter what sells in pro wrestling or "sports entertainment", isn't relevant to the powers that be. Bryan Danielson is a one of a kind talent that may be a fleeting memory of what should be the start of a new era. True wrestling fans acknowledge hard work and pure talent no matter what size or shape it comes in. It's an unfortunate reality that WWE management doesn't recognize the money they are leaving on the table. We are fortunate enough to see someone who is truly passionate to be the greatest performer in wrestling today. All of this is covered in this book, and the journey to get to be a headliner of wrestlemania. My hats off to you, Mr. Danielson. You are one of the all time greats.
