Alsheimer's articles and photographs are regularly featured in America's leading outdoor magazines, and he is considered one of the top authorities on deer behavior. In 2000, a national survey sponsored by Deer and Deer Hunting magazine named him one of deer hunting's top five inspirational leaders of the twentieth century. Dr. Larry Marchinton is a retired professor of wildlife biology at the University of Georgia, who has intensely studied and researched whitetail deer behavior for more than three decades.
