Great Book!

How I wish I had this book when I had a bipolar spouse. I read it after we divorced. However, since we will always be linked through our children and grandchildren, I can still put into practice the compassion and understanding that Dr. Last lays out. Cynthia Last is a specialist in this subject as well as in bipolar disorder in children and young adults and it shows. She has the inside track that many authors don't due to her many and varied experiences. MotherWarrior

A Book That Gave Me A Whole New Artisanal In My Toolbox

I cannot even being to explain how helpful this book proves.

The book is easily broken into the types of questions that couples ACTUALLY ask about living with a partner who suffers from bipolar. It doesn't sugarcoat or make light of things, but it doesn't over dramatize things, either. I would also recommend this book for people who even THINK that they, themselves, might be bipolar or that their partners might be. Even more so, I would recommended it to single people who are bipolar & could use the support knowing that it IS possible to have a relationship.

My favorite thing about this book is that it really answered the questions that I wanted to know. It talked about all the taboo things that we are usually too polite to mention, but it wasn't too overwhelming or too long. There are just so many things that are in EVERY book about bipolar that at some point a person feels as though they stopped learning anything new or valuable, but I feel this book really gave some new insights that I didn't have before & I certainly appreciate that.
