Educational, Inspirational, Interesting

I rarely read non-fiction but spied this in an airport and gave it a shot. I enjoyed connecting up so many common American cultural things to their roots in the Bible (Broadway shows, Beatles lyrics, etc), learning about the actual places in the Middle East and the adventures of travel to places that I will never reach. (I don't see myself dealing with spitting camels and sand everywhere!)
Give it a read. I was pleasantly surprised about broadening my personal horizons!

Not certain that this book is worth it.

I am having difficulty reading this book. Typeface is too small for me to see. Wish I'd purchased the Nook version.

Book Club Suggestion

My husband and I read this via video conference while he was deployed. Great read. The thing that struck me the most was the heightened security others experienced in the middle east before 9-11 in the US.

I bought this book for myself, but my husband ...

I bought this book for myself, but my husband picked it up before I could start it. Once he started it he got his computer out so he could follow maps where the book took him He is a geography/history major and it was right up his alley. We bought one for his brother also.
