Must Have book for Dr. Seuss Week in schools!

A lot of schools celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday and most of those have a "Wacky Wednesday", well what better book to read that day?!? It's a great book to encourage critical thinking skills as students help identify all the wacky things going on page by page, plus the number of wacky things increases each picture: "I looked out the window. And I said, GEE! More things were wacky! And I saw THREE".

It's even more fun to copy some of the ideas all over the classroom or at home. My students love it when they see the shoe on the wall! Like most other Seuss classics, the rhyming flows smoothly, the story is a joy to read, and kids love listening to the book!

He asks for it every night and we go through the pages with delight. I recumbent this to all grandmothers to buy ...

This book by Dr. Seuss is a MUST HAVE for children 4, 5, 6, and older. I read this to my grandsons who are now 13 and 12 when they were 3 and 4 years old and they laughed and giggled as they found the wacky pictures in the books. It was the first book they asked me to read to them. Now, my daughter has a new family and her son is 4 years old and he just LOVES this book as much as his cousins did. He asks for it every night and we go through the pages with delight. I recumbent this to all grandmothers to buy for their grandchildren…They will love it!!!!

Brings a smile to your face, and wonderment on what else will be wackily weird!

One of my favorite books as a child. Love the colors and downright silliness. I still think of this book on occasions when I see something very unusual or odd that’s actually kind of funny. Best for those with a good sense of humor and kids who like to count things and look at details.

He fell in love and begged to get the book

Around the time of Dr Seuss's birthday, my son's kindergarten class had a "Wacky Wednesday." They dressed wacky and activities centered around this book. He fell in love and begged to get the book. How can I say no when a 5 year old wants a book!!! He and his 2 siblings love it!

Cute book, fun story, very cheaply made.

Bought for a gift to be given on Monday. The binding in one section had torn the page before it was opened. Can't use as a gift any more. :(

Wacky Wednesday

This book is clever and interesting. It was a favorite of mine and my siblings when we were young. In this book, wacky things continue to happen as the day goes on. On this Wednesday one little boy is the only one who realizes that things are not as they should be. Wacky Wednesday is a book that i recommend anyone to read to a small child, they will truelly enjoy it.

Fun book for kids!

Every time my grandson is with me, he wants me to read him this book. My husband heard us laughing and had to come and see what we kept laughing about. This book is fantastic for a four year old.

Suess add on

This wasn't actually written by Seuss but by authors carrying on his book line. It is not one that is out of print either.
This is a humorous picture book perfect for parent (reader) child interaction and fun. Each page has one more wacky thing in its illustration and readers are challenged to find them all.
I regret buying this on Amazon as opposed to supporting my local book store but that has nothing to do with the book itself. One of my very favorites.
When I used this during my teaching years, we created Wacky Wednesday in the class. Use your imagination for ideas. I wish I had thought of it while raising our son!
This book is good for about ages 4-maybe 8 to 10.

Great Children's Book

This is a great book to read to children. If you start when they are young, about 3 years old, you will see their
progression each year as they get older. In the beginning they can only find a few of the things that are wacky. As they get older they can find more and more of them until they finally see them all.

One of Dr. Sueuss's Best Books

My 5 yr. old loves this book. It is an interactive book. After she reads each page she will search for everything that is out of place, unusual or just plain, "WACKY".
This book not only is loved by young readers but will be loved by your baby as you read it. It is definitely a book that will hold their attention.
