Poor scoring - not for solo performance

This book is designed for very beginning players and I have been playing for years. It is also not scored for individual play, so many of the songs were not recognizable. It is scored as if there would be many other parts playing. I am very disappointed in it and would not recommend it, not even for beginners.

Extremely limited book. Songs, most of which are ...

Extremely limited book. Songs, most of which are one page each, consist ONLY of the flute melody. NO CHORDS, NO LYRICS. This means the book can't be used alongside other musicians (guitarist, pianist, vocalist) unless they have books of their own with the same songs in the same key.

Great for kids in regular band

My daughter has been in band for a few years and it is like pulling teeth to get her to practice. However, this selection of popular songs helps make it a little easier. The music isn't too difficult for her to learn and it is a nice break for parents having to listen to the selections that the band teachers make her do. She did like some of these songs before she got the book, so keep that in mind if your child has never heard of any of these selections.

Great for classic rock fans

It’s exactly as described. I’m not sure if some of the people complaining about songs being incomplete are unaware of how to read music or if they thought the music for flutes would follow the guitar. It’s music for the flute and so far the songs I’ve tried have sounded good and accurate and plenty of the songs contain repeats and d.c. al coda to give you complete compositions. The book does state that some of the titles listed have been omitted for copyright reasons but it’s only a few and there’s still over 100 songs. Whether or not you personally consider these some of the greatest rock songs is subjective, there’s some songs I personally would replace with others I consider far superior but if you have a problem with certain songs being considered American classics, maybe your time would be better spent creating your own compositions to your favorite songs. This book is a great tool for practicing music and getting an ear for how to translate guitar riffs to flute. I’m glad I bought it and I’d recommend it to any classic rock fan. Sincerely, a POC under the age of 55 🤘🏼

Bad notes

Every last song is in the wrong key. The notes values are right, just more the notes themselves.
