The complete "War and Peace" of appliance repair!

First off, may I start off by saying, this book must have taken a decade to write. It is simply huge (and daunting at first). It's pages are crammed packed with anything you may have for questions on the subject, right down to the customer interaction that you have with your homeowner. Gas, electric, small, large, the answers are here. It is written concise and very easy to follow. Any new repair tech. could bring this with him/her on the job and slip out for a minute to verify their findings with the information printed and it is like bringing a veteran to the site with you. Great for the pro who likes to study to keep sharp too!

A Great Introduction to Appliance Repair

The book is very informative and includes everything. Many complicated tasks are accomplished by doing the basics well. Kleinert's book starts with this and gives readers the correct approach to all troubleshooting. I think that if you can remember the contents of this book, you can tackle any job. I will add that I believe readers will need to take their own critical thinking to each individual job. I could easily see this as a textbook in a technical program. I highly recommend the book to anyone who is interested in the topic.

Great investment for the do it yourself homeowner.

I had an old appliance repair but it was quite outdated. I was skeptical about this having relevant usable information that wasn't just theory. This manual explains the workings of almost all from stoves to microwaves and all the nuts and bolts about their operation. I repaired a friends clothes dryer with it the second week I had it and charged them $45.00 for the fix. About half of a service call and they were very happy too.

Major appliance troubleshooting and repairing great book and I don't even need

Hello my name-is Daryl Jones. This guy Eric Kleinert major appliances troubleshooting and repairing. This book is a very good for excellent book I have all three copies of these books. The reading of it it's not a textbook the knowledge in this book is so great that when I went to school back in 2014 I went back to school for electrician assistant and HVAC/R technician I passed the classes. Troubleshooting it's not a hard thing to do if you got the right tools and these books are the right tools and trust me there will be other books out there what you got to start at the very bottom all the totem pole these books is more helpful than the textbook that I have I trust and believe I have a lot of books these books right here and go straight into the practical and you can learn everything that you want to learn you can actually take this book on the field with you and troubleshoot as you go every technician that's on the field that work in the different fields have. Have to know one thing if you don't know what a problem is just know one thing if it has electrical base to it you test it for continuity that will let you know if the system is good or bad before you going to the other test you have to use ohm's law with this and that's the only way the practical is not as hard even though working in the field it's not that hard neither you can do a lot of things from home and get the job done but you have to practice on old equipment first without the power then place to it and troubleshooting your air condition your domestic air conditioner then troubleshooting your furnace and troubleshooting your microwave and your refrigerator and anything else has electrical base to it is the old saying when I was back in school this was when I was in high school my teacher told me years ago 50% of your learning Company School any other 50% of your learning comes from home you have the battle licked when you got this book in other books that you get especially if you in the trade electric electrician HVAC plumbing or any other field or carpentry to cuz they know it all too you think that these boys don't practice this trade you got me crazy a lot of people if they don't have no one to teach them old saying with this to it's called trial and error that means you can do it on your own other people you got to get your hands dirty you know that but getting the right tools is the right books that's going to tell you where you need to go and show you the picture too with HVAC it's like a car automotive technician you have to use your senses for this trade feel touch smell hearing and what you see you get the knowledge base on his trade what you got the basics on of the trade then you go so you can move on all the people said you can't but God said you can it's a very good book I have three versions of this book on the 1995 version I have the 2002 version and I have this version and these are very great books the author of this book really did his homework his homework and this is a great tool to hide you can troubleshoot and fix anything with this book you can take this book with you on the field and do it your way ain't nobody need to know ain't nobody else's business but you're wrong to the author a great book should have made a fourth one and a fifth one I'm very pleased to have this book thank you Amazon will bring it to me.

Worth it’s weight in gold!

Excellent book! Book is written in textbook style, which I appreciate. Very detailed. The language and diction are interesting, and one can tell that the author is passionate about this subject. It contains info on electro-mechanical theory, a sound troubleshooting method, and proper customer service methods and approaches. I work in IT and have a customer-facing role and found the author’s customer-service approach in-line with CompTIA’s method. If your goal is to be a good tech, not just to be able tix your appliance, then this is the book for you. The chapter on electrical circuits is gold!

This book appear to serve very little useful information, especially for anyone that one to learn appliance repair. It seems to be more of a introduction to appliances and what parts might be found in them. Too generalized to profit from this book. Not recommended for someone seeking to learn appliance repair for the first time. But, as an introduction to appliances it would be ok.
