but this series may have changed his tune for good. Compelling characters

My husband has listened to this entire series at least twice since we bought the first novel. He has not been a Ringo fan in the past, but this series may have changed his tune for good. Compelling characters, interesting take on the zombie phenomenon, cool setting - it is worth a listen (or read).

Caveats: there is some really dense science stuff in all 3 of the books, which can get a little tiresome since it does seem to go on forever, also there is some squicky stuff about rape/underage sex/etc that spurred a pretty intense discussion about misogyny between my husband and I (and I am really not convinced that this author has any idea about actual WOMEN and how bodies work, but that's a personal rant).

Overall, fun books. Check 'em out.

Faith (aka She-Wolf) is still one of the better characters in the whole book

Chapter 2 of the series picks up shortly where the first book ends. we meet some new characters as the Wolf's Squadron begins to grow even bigger.. Faith (aka She-Wolf) is still one of the better characters in the whole book. This is probably one of the few series that takes the Zombie Apocalypse, and puts something if a realistic twist on the theme. If you liked Book One, Book two will not disappoint!
