Excellent!

When I saw this was back in stock I snapped it up. I watch the YouTube channel, but for the sake of brevity some detail is omitted in the video presentations. I wanted to have a the ability to really study the charts without needing to pause, then scrolling forward and back on a video. The quality of the book and charts is exceptional, both in terms of design and construction. I hope more eventually are available so I can buy them as gifts. $20.25 delivered is an insane deal for such a wonderful resource.

I'm not a paid representative or a corporate sponsor, but a lover of someone who researches information, gathers facts and produces high quality products. This is one of the best books I have ever purchased, high quality print on great quality paper. The posters are exceptional. Great product that every classroom should have a copy of!!!

Amazing value

I love this YouTube channel, so I was more than happy to buy the book and support Matt Baker’s work. Turns out it was very much worth the super-reasonable price! It’s advertised with one wall chart and four fold-outs, but those can easily be pulled out of the book and hung up as well. That means you’re getting a well-written and fairly comprehensive overview of world history given the size of the book, and you’re also getting five high-quality posters. I showed it to my husband and he couldn’t believe how low the price was for the quality and value. Just awesome work.

What happened to Ireland?

Yes, there are detailed poster timelines with easy to read information and seemingly coverage of all parts of the world. However, I tried looking up Ireland in the index, but it wasn’t there. In this book, there’s nothing about the amazing illuminated manuscript-
the Book of Kells. Nor is there anything about the “Troubles,” the over 800 years of struggle of the Irish to get their entire country, culture and religion back. Zilch about the Great Famine, the Easter Uprising, the formation of Northern Ireland, Bloody Sunday, or Irish writers. It’s very odd to me a book of world history to be so lacking.

Invaluable resource

I received the book earlier than expected and ever since then, I've been captivated by it. If you love history but you're having trouble getting the big picture, this book is for you. The charts are helping me put various events I've learned about into chronological order. By pouring over the charts, I can identify questions that inspire me to do research. As a result, I am learning so much more and gaining a global perspective. I've seen such charts online but it's great to have them on paper. For only about $20, the book can't be beat!

Epic beautiful book

Absolutely LOVE this book. Much better than expected with 1 giant timeline poster in a sleeve in the front cover and 4 large fold-out timeline charts attached in the book. Well written and easy to read with just enough information and illustrations to be interesting. Book is beautifully made and well designed. Very highly recommended.

When you take the maps out it rips up text in the book and the maps

The maps can only be open and read by removing them, it rips the pages in the book that their pasted too (and the maps themselves). It looks like a nice survey of world history, I'll update the review when I finish reading it.
