Good build up to a weak finish

Typical Falcon Mac Callister story. As in the past books Falcon tangles with a wanted man (Jefferson Tyree) who is then sent to prison. The prisoner makes a daring escape seeking revenge on Falcon. Falcon goes to Higbee, Colorado to help a friend out who is having trouble with a thug rancher (Ike Clinton) and son's, who he believes is sabotaging efforts to build a railroad.

There are murders throughout the book, a couple of romances and a final fight to the finish that I thought ended to abruptly with no detail or drama or excitement in the final pages. It was a Weak finish to a good story with exciting characters. It seemes that the author just wanted to end the book quickly to get on to writing the next book. Perhaps the real W. A. Johnstone wrote 90% of the fisrt part of the book and the last 10% was written by the ghost author who is actually writting them now.

This book fooled me, it ends at page 288 and when I got to that page I didn't think the story was finished, but It was, the fooler was there were 31 pages of one of the Blood Bond novels at the back of this book. From here on I will be checking to see where the books end. I hate this B.S. adding two chapters from a forthcoming book.
