Walter Russell was a brilliant author, scientist, business consultant, sculptor, illustrator, portrait painter, figure skater, architectural designer and philosopher who believed that every man has consummate genius within him. He and his wife opened the University of Science and Philosophy to further his science research and philosophical work. This book was distributed to scientists internationally by the author after its writing in 1926, and is now a collector's item.
Features & Highlights
A “must” for the serious student of Russell science and philosophy, The Universal One is Walter Russell’s first expression of his new Cosmogony explaining the Mind-centered electromagnetic universe. Russell later revised some of the content of The Universal One in The Secret of Light and A New Concept of the Universe. Students of the Russell science should be aware of the historic sequence of Walter Russell’s books of science, and note the various changes in details which Walter Russell himself made. Nikola Tesla told Walter Russell to hide his cosmogony from the world for a thousand years. Though a century or more ahead of its time, The Universal One, uniting spiritual Cause and scientifically observable Effect in a seamless whole, is now appealing to the many people—scientists and laymen alike—who are examining the nature of science and consciousness. In this 1926 historic volume, Walter Russell first reveals the possibility of transmutation of the elements. This is a universe of Mind, a finite universe, limited as to cause, and to the effect of cause. A finite universe, in which the effects of cause are limited, must also be limited as to cause; so when that measurable cause is known, then can man comprehend and measure all effects. The effects of cause are complex and mystify man, but cause itself is simple. The universe is a multiplicity of changing effects of but One unchanging cause. All things are universal. Nothing is which is not universal. Nothing is of itself alone. Man and Mind and all creating things are universal. No man can say: ‘I alone am I.’ There is but One universe, One Mind, One force, One substance. When man knows this in measurable exactness then will he have no limitations within those which are universal.” — Walter Russell, from The Prelude to The Universal One.

Beautiful
If you are interested in this book, read Spinoza's Ethics, as well. I would also recommend Meister Eckhart, Thomas Traherne, Ludwig Wittgenstein (especially), and you're bound to find more. Russell's view, while based in the physical, and while physically true, is best and most easily understand in the accompanying philosophical context, that all things come from one, singular source. Hence "The Universal One", eh?
What a beautiful book! Regardless of what amount you understand, this book is a pleasure to hold and leaf through. The illustrations are superb and you really feel like you are holding something secret and powerful. Language is always an issue, understanding the meaning behind words, but Walter Russell knows what he is talking about, and he sees a crucial part of our underlying reality. Can you understand this perspective by reading the book? I don't know. Will you appreciate the book magnitudes more if you do understand his highly accurate perspective? Undoubtedly. The Physics community is still shuffling around getting nowhere because they aren't viewing the fundamentals correctly. All the math is the same; it's the perspective that's different, but do they by golly need the correct perspective to get much farther than they are now. Time will tell.

Science not Philosophy
I wouldn't insult this book by claiming that it is Philosophy. Philosophy usually has no merit in real life applications and devolves into the equivalent of teenagers playing What If. This is a Science of Everything book. So much so, my boyfriend read a chapter and said, "I didn't know you were studying physics".
The book merges the spiritual with science. The two should have never been separated from science to begin with. This is nothing new as St Thomas Aquinas was doing this a couple hundred years before, as well as hundreds of other great saints. Science will never be complete denying 50% of our existence.

above all else...
Walter Russell throws a TIMELESS call to any who longs for true knowledge. This IS THE Universal Cosmology.
Herein lay an unshakable depiction that challenges entire educations, debunking what science still debates or carves in stone, and so often satisfies your deepest longings for truth.
It is no understatement to say that such a book will feel like discovering the missing link. The Universal One will stand as a pivotal point to bring your rational, objective longings to direct alignment with your subjective callings -- both sides which so often stand in such staunch conflict and can finally rest and mingle. (It is perhaps the only book I have read without various levels of severe doubts and thus, great irritation)
To compare this writing to another is an impossibility, if you have been so lucky to find this book, even 3/4 a century after it was published, you have perhaps spared yourself decades in search of answers that you will not find elsewhere.
As Russell says,(paraphrase) 'if a theory does not display its proper link to the founding universal principles, then they must be discarded'
And he eloquently puts to rest many theories which are STILL considered factual interpretations of reality today, all along the way to providing the answers you would not find elsewhere.
standard pricing for this particular book however is $50, and you can easily find it for that online. waste no more time and get it; it's worth its weight in gold.

"To the soul who seeks the kingdom of God within" Lao Russell
So.. this whole experience was wonderful. The book came well packaged and shrink wrapped. It has a great weight to it. I love well weighted, balanced, sturdy books. The paper smells like a good book always does. It's big. It makes me feel like the boy in never ending story reading of Fantasia 😌. There's more to it tho. Something else comes with the book. A feeling. A kind of wonder or reverence that's somewhat unattainable in dicription. They send you a note as if almost from Lao herself to you that, in all honesty, brought tears to mine and my wife's eyes. This book marries religion, philosophy, science, skepticism, and love all into one story of a universal One. I am a student of the One or the Law of One and this is kind of a scientific understanding of a philosophy that goes back to the dawn of man. If you seek God and do not look within, then you are always going to be separated from the Oneness that that is and that all things are. The knowledge that this book brings is for all peoples. It has and will again be scolded for being this and that but if you seek wisdom this book has some. If you seek clarity of thought and of knowledge and of power, real power, then this book will show the way to these awesome abilities. "Man is omnipotent when he but knows his omnipotence. Until that day he is but man." When Christ said that he was the light of the world, he was being literal but more than that he was being inclusive, not exclusive. Those that love only the Bible and claim its validity above all else will probably disagree with this outlook with veracity however, I still want to say that we have been lied to about a great deal and the greatest of those lies was that we are each powerless and that the only power that exists is outside of us, and this book illustrates with conclusive results that we are each capable of the self knowledge that would make each of us, too, a Christ or adept or ascended being or whatever you wanna call it. We are all here for this realization and no other. With love, buy and read this book. The seller is aware of the power that is inlaid on these pages and if you seek the kingdom of heaven, you need only look inside your chest.

Finally the truth about the construct we live in
Awesome book and amazing seller. USPS sent my book all over the country and took a while but seller helped me track and keep up with the book and finally, I got it today. It was worth the wait. Gorgeous book and amazing content.
The content is “eye opening” to say the least. If you understand that most everything that we have been told by schools and mainstream media is a lie then this book exposes the actual real science and truths about the construct we live in.

Walter Russell is the man.
I've read many of his books over the years and had this one in my sights for a long time but I never saw the price drop below $100. Recently it was on sale for half that and I had to bite.
The book is fantastic and presents Russell's more scientific concepts of the Universe. It makes a great read for anyone interested in metaphysics as well as 'hard-facts' science.

Big Fan
Walter Russell is my favorite of the metaphysical kind. He was amazing in all that he did in his lifetime. I am so disappointed that kids today are not aware of his teachings. He really did live the life and his journey to get there was perfect. Can't get enough of his teachings.....

Asymmetrical Cover
Kind of disappointing to have such a beautiful book come with an asymmetrical cover. Oh well. The rating is for the seller in particular. I'm sure others would have been just as disappointed to pay the same as others for a defective item.
The content itself is fantastic, I think that goes without saying! It's partly why I'm a little sad about the cover, if I'm honest.

The most important book to read today
After a search that took many years I finally found an answer to many questions I had about physics and spirituality. The book is not easy to read and understand.
