The cover shows sheep - NO SHEEP inside

Found this book very helpful as an introduction ... BUT .... It shows a sheep on the cover, seriously?!
one of the reasons I bought it

This book does not address sheep. Find a different book for sheep. like The New Livestock Farmer.

Ultimate guide not exactly ultimate

It's an engaging book with nice photos and formatting. I started reading with the introduction and the last bullet point on buying tips states that chickens can live 20 years or more. The world record for oldest chicken is 15. This small tidbit of misinformation set the tone of what to expect from this book. I realized the book was author opinion/experience, more than actual facts.

Sheep on the cover, no sheep in the book

Bought this looking for more tips for our future farm. No information about sheep in the book although there is a picture of one on the cover. However there is a songbird section… in a book titled Raising Farm Animals…

Good book.

Good book. Very informative. I like how it is in order according to complexity. The not so difficult and small, chickens, goats, pigs, birds?, donkeys, lamas and alpacas, cattle, then horses. The bird section in the middle is a little out of place, but still nice.
