One of the Classics a must own book

Alexander Hislop did an amazing research job on the history of so much of the sacraments the catholic church uses, as well as the holidays which most people celebrate without the foggiest idea WHY? If you are a catholic and already have your mind made up and dont even question whether what your doing is pleasing or right to God, dont bother reading this, in fact dont bother reading the Bible. If you are a catholic who cares about the truth and recogize you dont have all of the answers, read this and pray to God (not Mary) for strength and wisdom and understanding. For anyone with a strong opinion on Christmas, Easter, lent, Feast of the Assumption, this could be tough to take, even life changing it was for me. Hislop starts out with the why's of child and mother worship from different cultures, then examines holidays and feasts historicaly and religiously, then he examines the doctrines and histories of the Roman Catholic system, rites and ceremonies, religious orders of the Roman system and finally prophecy. one of the Best books I have ever read, one worth owning and reading over and over.

FANTASTIC, A MUST READ FOR THOSE WANTING TO KNOW THE TRUTH

when i first read on this book, it said that it was a difficult read. i did not find this to be at all. this is one of the titles that is referenced to in two other books ("fossilized customs" by lew white and "come out of her my people" by c.j. koster)that i have read pertaining to the mystery religions and how they have corrupted the original faith of the followers of the MESSIAH. also recommended reading are "too long in the sun" by richard rives and "did the catholic church give us the bible" by david w. daniels. if you are interested in learning the history of the festivals, the symbols and the truth of what the church, whether catholic or not teaches, this is a MUST READ. there are some intersting thoughts by brother hislop, and a ton of history. this book is awesome.

Satan's Deception

It is amazing that I could be so blinded and deceived until the truth is presented to me. Although this book was difficult to read, I couldn't put it down. I immediately felt compelled to share with my Catholic friends and family what I had discovered. The information could be life shaking for a Catholic, and life changing if they were opened to the truth.

The book Two Babylons

I really enjoyed this book because it shows just where all the twisting of the word that Jesus taught at the beginning. He helps a honest person that is really searching for truth find what they are looking for. I think this book is good for anyone that is truly interested in finding out why.

Revelational

This book is a must have for those searching for truths. Explains SO much!
The author's english is a little off at times, but it's easy enough to figure out what he's trying to convey.
Definitely explains why the Catholic church is like it is.
At the very least, the information on symbols and idols is worth it.
You should find yourself at a loss for words MANY times throughout this book!
There are a few points that I don't necessarily agree with overall but, this book proves to be a priceless addition to some of the research I have already done concerning this issue.... and THEN some!

Love this Book

This book pulls the curtains back on the worships that we see today, especially those commonly called, Easter and Christmas. It is a real eye opener. It's also interesting to see most religious festivals have a common origin.
