Doubtfully written, but more like gamed action

Why? Firstly, because the prologue character has now died twice in different books and planets. Secondly, information not available to characters keeps popping up non-sequentially. Thirdly, often the actions of characters are incomplete and scattered. And more of the same. Author needs to set limits on what can be done and stick with them. Major flaw, "Shiny" suddenly going into attack mode and actually taking damage is totally out of character as per the first two books. Possibly this is juvenile SF, but the only thing to say to the author is write on and hopefully get better. Thanks, Harry!
