Good read. Warning: Book centers around domestic violence.

I really did enjoy this read. It follows two women who married into the same family, and discover some skeletons in the “family closet”. The chapters alternate between the two women, changing the reader’s perspective. The narrative is gripping enough to captivate you, but the read is overall good and a wonderful distraction. I believe this takes place in the UK, so some of the jargon was a touch confusing at first, but it was easy enough to figure out. I would recommend to a friend, for an easy light summer read! But I want to make sure to warn readers, this book contains graphic domestic violence scenes.

Couldn’t put it down!

This book was fantastic! I’ve never reads books by Kerry Fisher but I sure will now. I was on the edge of the seat throughout the book.
However, the blurb on the front of the book made no sense at all! “Would you risk everything for the man you loved…even if you knew he’d done something terrible?”
I don’t know what book that was referring to, but it wasn’t this one!

Great plot

I’m a book snob. I’m an English teacher, and often I mentally edit as I read. This has a well developed plot. Characters are intriguing. Love how the point of view goes back and forth then merges. Easy poolside or beach read!

Great read!

I'm not even done with this book, but I love it.
Stayed up too late reading already, but you just want to keep reading the next chapter to see what happens with Maggie and Lara.

Pass

I didn’t care for this book at all. The descriptions of abuse and no true justice in the end.... not worth the read.
