It's ok, but...

Unless you are a die hard fan or haven't read this this wonderfully crafted stand alone piece, I recommend skipping this. I own the original and expected more content to justify purchasing it again. Needless to say I felt let down. This is great for folks who are new to the Twin Peaks Universe. Its a pre requisite to read (assuming you watched the series first), but there's really nothing new to be found here folks. The introduction by Frost/Lynch is extremely brief and will not provide insight you haven't acquired elsewhere if you have been following the series.

Dear Diary... WOW!

As a Twin Peaks fan since I first saw it, I was blown away. One thing that is constantly referenced is Laura's diary. Where is it, what's in it, who does it implicate? I loved this book. It fills in gaps, raises new questions and reels the mind. I loved it. The fact that David Lynch's daughter made me feel more comfortable reading this and less apprehensive since this is a person growing up with the world of Twin Peaks being developed around her. A great read. Remember, the owls are not what they appear...

A great thriller

I did not see the show, however reading the book makes me want to find the show and watch it. The story sucks you in as you read this sad child's journey into despair and self-destruction. Then the ending leaves you hanging without knowing the details in her death.

Love This Book

I read the book when it first came out. It was essential reading for fans of the show and it actually added to the experience--filling in gaps and adding story. I was pleased to see it re-issued and very glad to see that it held up as well as the first and second seasons of the show. It's nice to go back and see that something is a good as you remember it.
