The Rose That Blooms in the Night

I first saw this book while shopping in Barnes and Noble. I NEVER purchase poetry but for some reason stopped in the section. I read a couple of poems from this book and knew it was perfect as a gift for my daughter. I brought it home and started reading more and right away purchased 6 more copies for myself and my nieces. The poems are geared toward women and topics range from love, to being your own person, to social media and more.

If you like modern day poetry, this is an outstanding read. I loved the art mixed in with a collection of poems. Each individual poem felt like she spoke into my soul, and this book made me feel things. I read through the whole thing in one sitting, but it is a book I will return to time and time again. Each poem has so much in them, that I feel like I could meditate on one poem at a time and just let the words water my soul. An excellent read, 10/10 recommend.

This is an amazing poem book that helps you live deeper into some of your own experiences through the medicine Allie gives with her words. I feel rejuvenated after reading her poems!

In the morning, I love to do meditation and yoga. I have added reading one poem every morning along with my normal routine. It is perfect for a daily affirmation and grounds me into the present moment. I will definitely be purchasing more to share with girlfriends as the poems are empowering and centering. I hope more people find this book as powerful as I have to be able to spread love and positive energy. ❤

This book brings out a lot of emotions. It's a book of poetry, very heart wrenching and a lot of real emotions.Its the kind of poetry that makes you want to fall in love and have your heart broken at the same time. The author inspires me to write my own poetry. The paperback quality is nice and the cover is very aesthetically pleasing. It's not something that you have to focus on a whole lot to understand; a couple pages before bed every night makes it a quick and easy read. I would say its appropriate for probably ages 14 and up just because of the complicated emotions addressed throughout the pages. Its about 203 pages but they aren’t all filled due to the poetry format.

I LOVE THIS BOOK. Each poem is a thought provoking, soul soothing, stand alone reflection of both Allie's inner life and today's society. She has her finger on the pulse of what matters to all of us, regardless of age. It is a beautiful read and the perfect gift to someone you love. I have read it several times and always find a new meaning or aha. Thank you for sharing your love and your heart. I hope this book finds its way into every beautiful heart.
