Description

Review “Hart approaches every sentence with a precision and care that armors the entire piece with a welcome sturdiness. More than anyone else, Hart’s delicate touch with landscape and character reminds me of the great James Lee Burke...If you love stories that get your pulse racing and dump adrenaline into your bloodstream, there is so much to love within these pages.” ―Blake Crouch, Wall Street Journal bestselling author of the Wayward Pines Trilogy About the Author Joe Hart was born and raised in northern Minnesota, where he still resides today. He’s been writing horror and thriller fiction since he was nine years old. He is the author of five novels and numerous short stories, including the books Singularity , Lineage: A Supernatural Thriller , and Midnight Paths . When he’s not writing, Joe enjoys reading, working out, watching movies with his family, and spending time outdoors.

Rather like a poor maded for tv movie

It started out well but towards the end it left no fictional cliche left unused. You knew what was going to happen long before it did. Rather like a poor maded for tv movie.

Dark Murders Grip Fear

Mystery, suspense, thriller. This book was all that and much more. I was captivated from the very start and my interest never waned throughout its entirety. I'd like to read more by this author.

Good, solid thriller.

3.5 stars When his brother and sister-in-law are savagely murdered, former homicide cop Liam
Dempsey starts his own investigation.  He learns they were not the first victims and
the only survivor describes the killer as a "monster", Plot and dialogue both go a bit over the
top near the end, but overall a good mystery/thriller.

Really good read!

Joe Hart's novel is a great page turner. It kept me reading well into the night! This story follows the life of an ex-cop Liam Dempsey as he deals with the deaths of estranged brother and his wife; in dealing with those losses his life entwines with another murdered couple and the son that the lone survivor of his parents' murders... secrets, small town secrets, politics and more made this book so well done. So many people have regretss in their lives, memories of emotional trauma and more; Liam brings those life events to the forefront!

A New Fan of Joe Hart

I think this book was very suspenseful, and it had just the right amount of twists and tturns that kept me going in it. I'm getting to be a fan of Joe Hart....you never know what to expect. I liken him to Bentley Little, who also writes good horror books.

I enjoyed this first adventure of Liam Dempsey

I enjoyed this first adventure of Liam Dempsey, and his reentry into law enforcement after such a trauma. I thought I had it all figured out, but come to find out I was only half right. Such an excellent turn of events and a great ending for Liam, Dani(which I hope becomes a new partner), and Eric and the town of Tallstone. Maybe Liam will be the new sheriff in town..........
