Totally different story than the original Christmas book.

Same title as the book published in 1975, but a totally different story. How odd is that? Who changes a classic story? I bought a copy of this in 1981 for my son's first Christmas and now bought a copy for his son's 1st Christmas. Why not just reprint the original story?

Cute story

Great little golden book! The story is cute! It is not outdated! Of course the pages are easy to tear so of course you have to watch little ones, but the little ones really enjoy the story!

This is a sweet story about giving

This is a sweet story about giving. My son loved it. We read it every day during Advent, and he even decided unprompted after reading it a few times that he wanted to pick out one of his toys to give to someone else. He just turned 3, so I thought that was really sweet. Definitely the kind of thing you want to get out of a children's book --a real lesson that sticks and means something.

Engaging book, Great gift

Great product for a good price. The book was made with the finest of thick paper and the finest cardboard that money can buy. The book was carefully crafted with hours of blood sweat and tears poured into it. The art was drawn by some of the finest professionals and was carefully crafted to capture the characters essence. The story was engaging and a must read for anyone who loves to read. The book is a great Christmas present for anyone. With engaging plot for the older audience and delicate pictures form the younger audiences. So we conclude with this statement. The Pokey little Puppy Christmas is the best book ever written.

Story isn’t great but kid loves it

The story isn’t great and the writing is not as fluid and sweet as the original- not sure that it’s the same author- but my son is obsessed with the poky puppy so we’ve read this story now over and over lol. Not my favorite to read but if it makes him happy- I’ll tolerate it.

Never Too Old for a Little Golden Book

Some of my fondest childhood memories revolve around Little Golden Books. Two Christmases ago, we saw a cartoon on tv of 'The Poky Little Puppy's First Christmas'. It was adorable, but it hasn't been on since. When I was looking for the video on Amazon, I saw this book and bought it. I had a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Little Golden Book that I read aloud every Christmas, so I thought the Poky Little Puppy book would be a nice addition to this tradition. How right I was. I hope I never grow too old to enjoy the innocence and sweetness of these Little Golden books. Thanks for a great new memory!
