Great book for all kids!

Love, love, love this book. I have two girls and there is a dearth of good books out there with girls as the hero. I am also frustrated by the number of books featuring animals that then refer to ALL of those animals as he...but that's another conversation. This is a great book for boys and girls, my three year old chooses it for bedtime most nights and the 3 month old seems vaguely interested :)

Love it!

I read this to my son and daughter, who is now 17, when they were little. Robert Munsch books were their favorites, as they were mine. Every now and then, "The Paper Bag Princess" will come-up in our conversation with tremendous fondness. Love it!

Princess Empowerment

I love Robert Munsch!! This book is a favorite of my girls. Munsch was empowering princesses long before Frozen came along. Elizabeth not only defeats the dragon but saves the prince only to decide he is way to whiney! You go girl!! This is book I will keep from our library to share with grandchildren.

I love it. A princess who rescues herself and her prince, and dumps him for being a jerk. The kids were a bit disturbed by the deforestation, though.
