The New Answers Book 2 (New Answers (Master Books))

For my first piece of evidence, I point to the Answers in Genesis website where it is clear that the author Ken Ham runs AIG. In addition, the owner of the publishing company Tim Dudley is also on the board of AIG.

My second and FINAL piece of evidence is the AIG statement of "faith" section 4.6:

"By definition, no apparent, perceived or claimed evidence in any field, including history and chronology, can be valid if it contradicts the scriptural record. "

What does this mean? Simple. If *any* evidence science or the other arts find contradict the bible, then their evidence MUST and IS wrong by default. For example: If (hypothetically speaking of course) the bible said that pi is 3 and science discovered and PROVED that pi is actually 3.1415...etc , then science MUST and IS wrong because the bible is always right PERIOD. No exceptions.

So, all evidence that supports and shows that evolution is a FACT (and ALL the evidence does support evolution) MUST be wrong because the bible CAN'T be wrong.

Ham is a dishonest charlatan who supports ignorance and has committed intellectual suicide.

I have been reading Ken Ham for years. He played a large part in converting me from an agnostic to a Christian.

Science did not start out as an atheistic enterprise. The perceived order of the natural world was originally considered by the majority of peoples to be divinely designed. Pioneers in scientific inquiry considered themselves observers called to describe God's world in greater detail. They saw their field of study as one in a subset of other academic disciplines under the umbrella of a theistic worldview. Unfortunately, these humble beginnings were washed away in an irrational reach. Declaring anything outside of human eyesight to be unknowable, science cut itself loose from the larger infrastructure of truth. Rather than fitting into a worldview, it now seeks to be a worldview. Filled with many ideological presuppositions and tied together with a number of unproved assumptions, it may claim to be neutral but it is atheistic in its practices. If it does not declare God dead, it pretends He does not exist. Either way, most make the scientific enterprise out to be a world of study in which the Lord is given no place. In recent times, some scientists have started to push back.

Ken Ham is founder and president of Answers in Genesis, an organization which operates under the original definition of science. Working from a theistic worldview rooted in the Bible, The New Answers Book 2, speaks to scientific questions regarding creation/evolution. With an array of degreed scientists who affirm the inerrancy of scripture, the facts surrounding the fossil layers, the rock strata, and geological dating methods are examined. Through thirty-one questions, the Biblical subjects range from Noah's flood to the Tower of Babel to the age of Adam. From scientific terms to philosophical arguments, this volume holds a great amount of information.

While the book does a solid job of presenting the facts as seen through the lens of scripture, the chapters are a little uneven. While one answer might be written in language stripped of overly-complicated terms another reads like an advanced course in physics. In addition, some portions of the book hold tightly to discoverable facts while other subjects sink into speculation. Despite these flaws, the book is a good read and provides a great overview of some complicated issues. If you are looking for an introductory work to timely issues, this volume is a good start.

This is a great resource for those of us who want to know more about Bible validity and the science that backs up the Bible. Well - footnoted and researched. I have my bachelor's degree in Biology, have taught Science for over a decade, and I've still learned a lot from this book.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This book is just what the doctor ordered. It's well written, clear and for the most part easy to understand. I loved it from cover to cover! Its' so refreshing reading a book about actual science build upon the number 1 scientific law "The Bible is the complete and perfect Word of God". I am so thankful to Ken Ham and all the authors who have provided truth in the darkness. In a world full of people who claim to be scientists but actually just like to brainwash anyone who will listen to their bad science, Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis ministries provide a book based on the Word of God that reveals the lies that we are bombarded with daily by men whose hearts are deceitful above all things, men and women who are desperately in need of the cross of Jesus Christ. This is a must read for those who are tired of the lie of evolution and moral lawlessness. This is a book for those who long for the Kingdom of God to truly come and who desire to explore the wonders and majesty of the world that our Lord so beautiful created in simply six actual days. Thank God for these wonderful men and women of God who courageously stand up for the truth even at a time when they are ridiculed for it.
