Description

From the Author Thanks so much for taking the time to have a look at some of my work, especially those of you who are here because you have purchased one of my other books, or left me a review. I really am grateful to you for being a part of this!I have been writing books in the thriller and mystery genres for the last six years, and recently released my new dystopian series. You can reach me in a variety of places, but my home on the internet is on my website. You can find me at michellemuckley.com. Feel free to get in touch, leave me a comment, and just have a snoop around. About the Author I decided that I was going to be a writer from a young age. Apparently, I also decided to be a procrastinator, and waited twenty years before I finally wrote Chapter One. In the meantime I studied science and started working in cardiology. I loved this job, but there was a creative need that remained unfulfilled. It was at this point that I began to write my first book. Six years later, having uprooted from England and having settled on the southern Mediterranean shores of Cyprus, the dream to publish is now a reality. I am still working as a part time scientist, but I am also writing daily. When I am not sat at the computer you will find me hiking in the mountains, drinking frappe at the beach, or talking to myself in the kitchen in the style of an American celebrity chef. Just think Ina Garten.

Features & Highlights

  • Will Moreton is one of the lucky ones. He still has a house, thanks to the fact that he has been assigned State Employment. Mind numbing or not, he'll take whatever he's given and try to keep the roof over his and wife Molly's head. He doesn't want them to end up living in a Shelter like the one where he works. They don't need any more problems. The recession hit Grafton hard, and having a job and a home is a luxury that few enjoy. If only he was like Dan, with a good job and a steady income. He never has to worry about money. Dan Fox is Will's best friend, and works as a nurse in the local hospital. He needs cash desperately in order to pay for his mother's care. She is slowly dying and deserves the best in her last years of life. He owes her that, doesn't he? After what happened? It helps to put things right. He'll follow any order to make sure he can keep her where she is comfortable. Will is the only one that knows the childhood secret that afflicts Dan. Neither of them wants to think back to the terrible day that binds them together. But Dan has started to keep new secrets. Secrets that not even Will knows about. These secrets are kept locked away in the depths of the night behind the Victorian walls of the hospital in which Dan works. Dan thinks that he has covered his tracks. But one winter's day, when Will panics because he can't find Molly, he looks to Dan for help. By doing so he makes a discovery that leads him into a terrifying conspiracy. The only problem, he has no idea who is the real enemy. A journey of trust and betrayal, the reader is compelled to experience the limits of true friendship through a web of disturbing lies and truths, and to look for hope not only in the strongest of human bonds, but also the darkest corners of life.

No. Just, No.

I finished this book, but it was not easy. At no point did I feel any connection with the characters, or the story line. This book doesn’t have an ending, it just stops, as if the author couldn’t decide what he wanted to say next so he just stopped writing. Save yourself from this nonsense, don’t bother reading.
