My daughter finished this book in 3 DAYS, refused to put it down; She loved it!!!! Trying to find chapter books interesting for her read has been difficult & we found this. Would recommend for children ages 9-12, this book wasn’t too suspenseful yet it kept her mind engaged from wondering & wanting the story to continue.

My 10yr old Daughter read in less than a week because it was sooo good!

My 10 year old said this is the best book she has ever read. That’s saying a lot for the most picky reader in the world!!! She almost cried because it was over and she didn’t have more to read!!!!
Definitely recommend!!!

We loved it!

Written by my 8 year old daughter - I just loved the story. It was so touching. I love how I learned something when I read this book. When mom and I read this book it created detailed pictures in my mind. I also enjoyed this book so much because it showed how everyone can face their fears in their own time. Thank you so much for writing this book. Something I did learn was that it was so hard for brown skinned people to learn how to swim. That is so sad. I wish that I could change history. But in the meanwhile I hope that everyone who wants to learn how to swim is able to.

Always available

Daughter discovered a book she wanted. Amazon search, a few days later we have it for a great price. Daughter loves a spooky story and this was an immediate favorite!

Loved the cultural aspect along with the fun, semi spooky story.

As a parent to a half Latino half Asian child, we both really enjoyed the book, but I loved taking the time to discuss the relevance and history of all of the cultural elements touched on in this story.

It’s a quick read, and a little slow at times, but I still highly recommend.

The spooky factor is there… but not too scary in any way. My eight year old really enjoyed it.
