Omg I'm crying. Omg. Please tell me there's another volume coming?! I need to see more of teacher!! What happened to Shiva?! The king?!

An exciting ending to the nine-volume series. Intrigue, revealed. Identities, revealed. Who or what Shiva is, revealed. Teacher, also revealed. To all things there is an ending - perhaps to the story - but its characters will live on. The ending was an ending, and yet not. Although it is rated "TEEN", it is a good story for older adults as well.

Old as I am, I was excited to follow not only the series, but this last physical book to me. It, unfortunately, appeared to be delivered to some other house, even though supposedly left on my porch. I was about to call the carrier and complain, when I thought to check my back door. There was no reason to deliver something there - there's no house number there - and no one ever has before, but there it was, sitting in the wet from the melting snow. Fortunately, it was in a waterproof envelope.

This is a new fairy tale, set in an older time. And yet, it resonates with our time. The brothers Grimm would have added this one had it existed then, and really, it's of a piece with their collection.

Wow. I have never ugly cried at a manga before. I’m so invested in this story. The art is amazing. The story is amazing. 6/5 stars.

Love this little series

And I thought the last book was sad! This is the most intense volume of the series so far. It’s also the most dialogue heavy, but I don’t mind that because it advances the plot in a curious way. Cosmology and morality are delved into which sheds new light on the origins of Shiva and Teacher. Revelations abound! The art continues to be atmospheric and I love the attention the author gives to character expressions. He creates moments that still time, allowing the characters to breathe and feel. The emotions he evokes range from hope to love to fear to loss. I can’t wait until April to read the next volume!

Wonderful story and always look forward to the next chapter. The cover art is always lovely.

Continue to love this story. It is strange and takes some rather surprising turns, but overall is very sweet with extremely simple, but beautiful and refreshingly different artwork.

i’ve been following this series and didn’t enjoy it that much, but this volume changed everything. i’m very excited for the next volume to be released and i plan on continuing to read this series until it ends.

Can't wait for the next book. An explanation, though a bit confusing, and a promise of more. book 10 comes out on April 13th, 2021.

This is the first volume in the series that hasn't gotten a 5 star from me, and it's because it's the first with very little Shiva and Teacher interactions. I know this was necessary to progress the story. Of course, I now have even more questions with everything that happened in this volume, and that ending! I need volume 10 ASAP!
