Description

Mark Goodwin is a Christian constitutional author and the host of the popular Prepper Recon Podcast which interviews patriots, preppers, and economists each week on PrepperRecon.com to help people prepare for the coming storm. Mark holds a degree in accounting and monitors macro-economic conditions to stay up-to-date with the ongoing global meltdown. He is an avid student of the Holy Bible and spends several hours every week devoted to the study of Scripture and the prophecies contained therein. The troubling trends in the moral, social, political, and financial landscapes have prompted Mark to conduct extensive research within the arena of preparedness. He weaves his knowledge of biblical prophecy, economics, politics, prepping, and survival into an action-packed tapestry of post-apocalyptic fiction. Having been a sinner saved by grace himself, the story of redemption is a prominent theme in all of Mark's writings. "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings." Psalm 40:2

Features & Highlights

  • In The Days of Noah, Book Three: Perdition, the end times fall on America like a shadow of darkness and the last days bring an onslaught of sword, famine and plague. Biblical prophecies are fulfilled when a world leader arises to pull the nations back from the brink of disaster and usher in a new age of peace, but at what cost? In the aftermath of the collapse, America is left to flounder while the rest of the world is rebuilt under the rule of the Global Republic. Noah Parker and his family refuse to take the pledge to the world order and are thereby excluded from the one-world economy which functions using a cashless electronic currency. When the Global Republic finally arrives to begin rebuilding the former United States, Noah and the true Christian community are labeled as terrorist, hunted down like animals and forced to choose between fight or flight.

Absolutely awesome conclusion to the Days of Noah series!

This series has been one of the best EOTWAWKI/SHTF novels/series' I've read yet. Goodwin's knowledge and understanding of the current geo-political environment is spot on. The Christian twist on the genre is very well done including the relation between prophecy and current events. Regardless of your spiritual beliefs, this series is of the highest quality. There are only a hand full of authors who approach the genre with such a well-rounded and intelligent grasp on the true reality of both what is going on today, what is being planned for humanity, and how it may turn out.

I see Mark Goodwin as a very welcome competitor in the genre, and I'm glad he is because the more people we reach, the better our chances are for fighting back.

A huge let down in wrapping up the storyline

Overall a disappointing close to an otherwise skillfully written trilogy. This is the first time Mark Goodwin's writing has disappointed me. Perdition failed to seamlessly flow from Persecution in the manner he so well accomplished in the transition between Conspiracy and Persecution. Goodwin's misinterpretation of biblical prophesy combined with the modern American Christian church's deception of and event called "The Rapture" destroyed what had been an otherwise enjoyable series for me. I found the introduction of the character Elijah exciting with much potential until Goodwin unrealistically portrayed this Messianic Jewish character defiling himself through having eaten that which YHWH has instructed in Leviticus as unclean. I suspect this portrayal was a result of poor knowledge in regard to Torah and incomplete research on the part of the author.

When one writes books from the perspective of a Christian; it is irresponsible toward the reader to ignore or dismiss the roots and lessons of the Old Testament in order to fulfill one's own writing agenda (The Rapture). As he has hinted in his podcast that he may build another trilogy based upon one of the characters in the Days of Noah series, I pray Mr. Goodwin will seek the opportunity to more deeply study our Father's word, including that to the left of Matthew, before embarking upon further writings in the genre.

As narrator, Kevin Pierce gave another fantastic performance. I have begun to purchase Audiobooks in 'apocalyptic fiction' based upon those which Kevin Pierce narrates.

It is ok, but laced with too much gun information. It seams to emphasize that aspect more than the message it should be sticking to.

Exciting to the end!

Excellent series to the end. Easy to read and follow. Helpful for prepping and being prepared. This is a Christian series so biblical references shouldn't be a surprise. Excellent job Mark!
