Great book but needs proofreading

It’s a beautiful book detailing the adventures of a scholar-turned pirate who goes by the name of Captain Flameheart. He was the son of one of the most feared pirates to have ever lived and his stories filled Flameheart with excitement to the point where he longs to be a pirate himself.

The book itself is written as a diary in 1st person that talks about his adventures and sets up the lore in the game Sea of Thieves. Here you’ll find the design choices of the game as to why there are the 3 faction guilds and the small islands seen if you played the game. It’s definitely a must-have if you’ve been having fun in playing Sea of Thieves.

Some issues however are in the writing itself. As pictured below, it seems like there are some sentences that just doesn’t make sense. Other than that, the book is presented beautifully with notes written by other pirates scribbled across the pages for some goofy fun reading.

Book printers have dusty printers, each copy received the art is poorly

I work with industrial printers, and the art quality on these books looks like the printers they're produced on haven't been cleaned in months. There's a white static on the images like the dust from cut paper particles has stuck to the pages and ink rollers, so the full image doesn't get printed. I returned the first book and the replacement I got had the same issues.

My grandson loves it

I ordered this book for my grandson because he had been playing Sea of Thieves and wanted to learn more about it. He has been reading it every day. He said he liked the plot of the story, the way the story is told and the pictures. The part that says Sea of Thieves actually goes around the book and it can be used as a bookmark and he thought that was the very best idea and he is using. He has told all his friends about the book and showed them but he isn't going to part with it. He is 14.

Tales from the Sea of Thieves performs a lot of ...

Tales from the Sea of Thieves performs a lot of lore building for the game - although very little of that lore is currently present in the game.

My biggest complaint about the book is that it starts off fairly strong, and as you get closer to the end it feels more and more rushed. I've only grown concerned that perhaps Rare's heart wasn't truly in this book. I imagine the creativity behind it was, but due to looming deadlines the book came out less than what it could have been.

Great read, good addition to the game.

Very enjoyable read into the lore of the game. Fantastic companion peace that provides further insight into the game as well as hints at possible future content, some of which has already been confirmed.

Just isn’t Well Written

I’m a writer and a huge fan of Sea of Thieves. It’s a great game that’s being well cared for by its creators with frequent updates and a wonderful community surrounding it.
While you’ll get some great art in this journal style look into the world of SoT you won’t get an enjoyable (or even readable) narrative. There’s a bit of backstory into Flameheart and a look into the lives of a handful of pirates, but because it’s written by pirates a lot of what’s here is difficult to read. The writing is broken and difficult to decipher, and what I was able to read was flat and basic.
This wasn’t an enjoyable read for me. If you’re after a collector’s item and want to give this book a shot, then by all means do! This just wasn’t the book I was hoping for.
