Perfect story, imperfect illustrations!

The content of the book is perfect except the illustrations in my printed version. As you can see here the two full page spreads are flipped. It's a very large annoyance and I hope it is rectified in later editions of the book.

Another Great Book!

This is the sixth book in the main series of "Sword Art Online", and the second book of the "Phantom Bullet" arc. Some of the author's statements regarding firearms in the book are incorrect, but that does not detract from the story. As always, Kawahara-sensei's writing is superb, ditto for abec's illustrations. I highly recommend this book to fans of the "Sword Art Online" anime.

If you're like me and didn't really get into Gun Gale during the anime, I'd give this a read. The character work is much deeper and Reki Kawahara really does get his act together here. The story changes pace several times and you really do feel for Shino during this whole novel. Definitely worth the read and got me feeling better about Gun Gale.

SAO Is My Darling, Fight Me

Sinon is who I love, although Kirito is a close second. Really missed getting to hang out with Asuna in these pages, though. Reki Kawahara still struggles with the sexist aspects of his writing, but I have to give him props for Sinon's journey to working on her mental health. Some people might thing Kirito fits the "Magic P****" trope, but I think Sinon more connected with the fact that he, too, had killed and struggled with that fact. Progressive is still my favorite of the Lite Novels but I love the Gun Gale Arc, especially seeing Sinon begin to recover.

Bought these books for my 13 year old son. He loves the books and completes reading on about every 2 days! He has already reread several of the books a second time!

Thoroughly enjoyed it. The anime is true to the novel so don't expect much of anything extra or missing if you've watched it. However reading a story always gives better insight into characters and their thoughts.

The Full-page Illustrations Were Messed Up!!!!!

I love SAO! This was a perfect addition to my Sword art online collection, except for the fact that the full page illustrations halves were flipped, this annoyed me greatly, but otherwise, this is a good book.

Great Conclusion to this 3rd Arc

Thus far, this is the best conclusion to an SAO arc thus far. The emotions driving each and every character were believable and tugged the heart. The climax and resolution was sensible and real. And the epilogue itself was compelling and encouraging. Encouraging, in my opinion, is probably the word that not only perfectly describes this volume, but also the arc. I think it is easily why this is the best conclusion and best arc.

I found myself really feeling the characters as it felt like I was there with them wanting to seal myself off from the world as it was out to get me reminding me of the fears I was running from while also feeling like I wanted to be encouraged like the characters encouraged themselves and each other as they found the strength within themselves to tackled their fears, and their selves, and to make it through. Watching them make it through when all else was against them was great.

This time, I don’t have much to ding the volume for. While Shinkawa (kyouji) does have some
questionable antics, it is perfectly explained by the as usual, great expectations heaped upon him by his family and the bullying he faced in school. Sad that someone so cute and so wanting to just be liked and succeed could have another side to him, but this is what happens when you can’t enjoy a childhood due to people who want to take advantage of you.

Also, once again, Kirito is just plain more interesting when he is with characters that will actually you know jab him and tease him vs just submit to him like Asuna does. Sinon and Lisbest easily are the most interesting characters to ship with him thus far, hm, Leafa as well.
