How much more stunning can you get?
First Sentence: Have you ever done something so shameful, so shocking, so unlike /you/ that you wanted to disappear?
How I Acquired it: Borrowed from town's library.
The Review (*spoilers from past 10 books beyond this point*): When we last saw the Pretty Little Liars, Spencer was suffering from hallucinations, Hanna was plotting to steal her father's money, Aria was trying to rekindle an old relationship, and Emily was revealed to be pregnant. This, for me, was the huge twist of Ruthless, aka Book 10. Now in Book 11, Stunning, we see that Spencer's getting hooked onto drugs again. Aria has some troubles with her relationship, Hanna is jealous of Mike's new girlfriend, and Emily's baby is in more danger than ever. Drugs, love, action, sex, crazy stalkers and awesomeness abound!
The premise of Pretty Little Liars is still the same: four girls are tortured by a stalker, code name A, who threatens to reveal every dirty little secret they have, and every crime they've committed. If you haven't read the previous books in the series, this is not a good place to start. Sara Shepard does a good job of recapping the plot of previous books for people like me who read Book 10 seven months ago, but it's no excuse for the first 10 themselves. The characters are still the same as in previous PLL novels; if you liked them before, you'll like them now. If you hated them before, you'll hate them now. Not much to be said here.
And the plot is still as twisty and turny as ever. I won't spoil anything, because it's most likely that you're going to read Stunning for its plot, like all other PLL novels. I will say, however, that Emily's baby plays a huge role in the novel, and I liked that. Also, I really liked Emily in this novel, for being strong. The other three girls were kind of stupid, but I could understand their actions.
Overall, Stunning is a good addition to the series. It's not stellar, but it's not poor either. Fans of the previous installments will not be disappointed. I did take off a star, however, because Ms. Shepard has been dragging out the series too much. Stunning sets up the end, Burned, nicely, and I can't wait for it to come out.
-reviewed by a teenager. (I apologize for any teenagery and/or snarky comments in this review, if they have offended you. I understand they can be very annoying, just like teenagers themselves. In any case, thanks for dealing with them and thanks for reading this review.)

A is for "A"dversary
This is a fantastic read! If you've read all of the books up to Stunning, then you won't be disappointed. A is up to their usual tricks and has the Pretty Little Liars in their sights.
Spencer- Spencer is wanting to get into Princeton University and then join a very exclusive club. If that happens, then it seems that her life will be set. The only thing is that A knows what Spencer wants, and goes to great lengths to make sure that doesn't happen. If A has to crush Spencer or anyone else, well that won't stop A.
Hanna- It seems that Hanna always wants something that she can't have, and that turns out to me Mike. Hanna has always had self-esteem issues about herself, and they come crashing back to her when Mike ignores Hanna's attempts to get him back. She'll go to any lengths to get Mike's attention. Oh, she gets attention alright, but from A. Hanna has to deal with all of her self doubts, and A is there to make sure she feels every self doubt that she has. Then to make matters worse, A throws a few more things at Hanna. Hanna is in for a rough ride.
Emily - A has a lot of ammo when it comes to Emily. Emily has had the baby, and given it up for adoption. Emily doesn't exactly follow up on a certain promise and A knows it and really, really does a number on Emily. A has set Emily up from step 1. A really unloads on Emily on his one.
Aria- This one is a bit different. Aria has one small secret that A knows about, and exploits that to a certain degree. The thing is that Aria finds out a secret, a major secret about someone else, and A uses that to their advantage.
The PLL"s think they know who A is, and goes out to prove their suspicions. However, as usual, A knows what the PLL's are up to, and has a trap ready and waiting of them.
Also a secret that all of them share is "The Jamaican Thing" is still a major plot in this book. A makes sure that it's still there and can and will be exposed at any time.
I also like the plot about Hanna's dad. If you've read the past books, then you know what I'm taking about. I liked how A uses that to their advantage.
I just adore the character of A. I love how A is all knowing and all seeing, and is everywhere. Maybe the PLL"s hear a faint giggle, or sees something our of the corner of their eye, but A is always there.
The next book, Burned, comes out December 4, 2012. I can assure you that I'll be the first in line to get it.
