REVIEWS "Wow, this book was brilliant I absolutely loved it, every character intrigued me they were all so interesting and the plot was so twisty it kept me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what was going to happen next. OMG that ending!!! Wow, just Wow I did not see that coming, I'm still reeling from it.xa0I have read 82 books this year so far and this easily slips into my favourite top 10 of 2018." - Bonnie's Book Talk "It's not often that I'm surprised by a twist, but Stranger in the Woods has an absolutely killer ending that I didn't see coming at all.xa0With the atmospheric setting of rural Scotland, and a cast of imaginative characters, it's easy to become immersed in Stranger in the Woods. I loved the way the Scottish tales of 'tattie bogles' and the sweeping majesty of the Highlands were weaved into the story. This is a fantastic dark mystery with a twist in the tale." - Sarah.A.Denzil, author of Silent Child "Don't start unless you have time to finish! My right arm went numb from holding my kindle. Rarely and I do mean rarely do I read a book and don't figure out the ending. I am in awe!" - Reviewer "I was hooked from the very beginning. Every scene and character intrigued me." - Reviewer "Stranger in the Woods pulls you in and holds you tight in its grasp from start to finish." - Reviewer "Awesome, awesome book!!! Hard to put down." - Reviewer

Touching and emotional mystery!

This review is for the audible version of the book. While there are a few too many improbable incidents in this story, overall I enjoyed it. The scenes from Eldie’s point of view will stay in my mind for some time as well as the teenager Stella. There were a lot of characters to keep track of and most of them were well developed.

The story drags on with people roaming around forests, hills and peat bog. From that point the story drags out into a court case and the coincidences And improbability comes to light. Despite my thinking Isla is a naive and stupid girl and “you got to be kidding me” about the amnesia around her visiting Scotland and didn’t remember giving birth, this book has many good things and kind of hooked me in with its emotional and touching dialogue and I will look out for other novels by this author.

You Must Read This

This was a fabulous book! It was hard to put down. Kept me guessing on what was going to happen. I enjoyed this book so much (on my Kindle), that I bought a hard copy for my granddaughter. She sent me a text the day after she received it saying, "Nana, I zoomed thru the first chapter. I can't stop reading!" Enough said........
