Description

From Library Journal Hard-nosed private detective Elvis Cole returns ( The Monkey's Raincoat ) to do battle for a teenaged girl kidnapped as part of a scheme involving the theft of a priceless Japanese manuscript outlining samurai behavior. While Cole's wry sarcasm and attempts at "cute" often fall flat, his humanity and integrity carry him through an apparently convoluted but mostly transparent plot. Los Angeles settings, Japanese heavies, wild action, and businesslike prose, however, make this better than many.Copyright 1989 Reed Business Information, Inc.

Elvis cole rocks

Both my wife and I love Elvis Cole and Joe Pike. Just another one of Crai's good Cole PI stories. Not enough Joe Pike - but hey, can't have it all.

Elvis Cole...World's Greatest Detective

It was only his second Elvis Cole book, but characters (Elvis and Joe Pike) are already well established. The book is a page turner. Crais' writing has improved since he wrote this book, but that's not to diminish "Stalking the Angel" in any way. It was excellent. Read it...you'll like it!
