A must read for everyone!

Every so often some speech sticks with us forever. While they appear to be delivered simply, there are a lot of dynamics that make up those speeches.
Mike Acker breaks down those dynamics step by step and has built a system to create great speeches to speak with confidence for any audience.
This book details the concepts and behavior changes needed for a confident speaker. These step-by-step instructions, while requiring commitment, are easy to follow and actionable. They are invaluable for someone who had never looked at a structured approach to speaking. I am one of the few luckiest to have the opportunity to be coached by the author on these concepts and I can vouch for the results. These steps not only make you a better speaker, but they also make you authentic to your speech.

Excellent Self-Help for the Public-Speaking Impaired

Public speaking persists as a top fear amongst the majority of the population. And yet our lives become more and more inundated with the pressure to “go live” or perform or Heaven-forbid at least SPEAK to a group of people.

Who stare. And wait. And judge. Are you sweating yet (autocorrect tried to change that to swearing. Maybe you’re swearing, too)?

Mike’s been there. Hundreds of times, step by step, word by word, drop by drop - through the stage fright and the anxiety. And he’s helped people not only survive that first round of hurdles, but get up on whichever stage they’ve chosen. And he’s brought them from deers in headlights to someone who speaks with confidence.

Wait, what? No, public speaking is survival of the fittest. Grin and bear it. Don’t blink first… Only those crazy people (extroverts) thrive on being on stage.

Wrong. This won’t fix your phobia in a day (there’s another book before this one that helps get you from teeth-chattering under the bed to on stage w/o passing out), so this one starts at the Suck it up Buttercup stage - and provides a solid framework: how to create a speech or talk you can feel confident about. And a wealth of knowledge and tips on how you can prepare AND perform confidently.

Won’t erase the butterflies in your stomach, but definitely will provide months’ worth of practical guidance that would cost *thousands of dollars* to get from a professional coach.

Ready for your TED talk? Need to talk to the audit committee and give them difficult news? Boss hounding you to go “be part of the community” at networking events…by speaking (or guesting on a podcast). Got orals for a big dollar sales opp you just have to nail?

This book. Right here. Scroll up, and buy. Own your confidence.
