Not too deep, but still a good beach read
The concept of a "beach read" is hard to define and can really only be explained by example. In other words, you'll know it when you read it. Some Women is one of those book that you'll recognize very quickly as a beach read.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with that. This is a book that will pull you in and, if you are looking for something light and entertaining, it will fit the bill. It is also a fairly quick read, which is perfect for someone looking for something like that. However, I would warn those who want to read this book not to think too deeply about it.
While I enjoyed passing the time with Annabel, Piper, and Mackenzie, I found this book to be ultimately unsatisfying--admittedly because I do think too much about what I read. I lost some confidence in the book early on--the friendship between the three women (they all recently met in a barre class) just seemed too contrived and convenient to take seriously. I suspect that if Liebert had set up this friendship so that the three women had known each other for more than a month, the entire book would have been more convincing.
This is also a book where there are multiple plots going on at once. I do believe that Liebert tried her very hardest to weave the all together but, in the end, it just didn't work. For one thing, every time I would get into one woman's story, the action would shift to another character and I'd feel torn away from something I found interesting and forced to start over with another character. I also found all the story lines to be predictable and the ending to be too neat and clean to be fulfilling.
On the positive, I did enjoy Liebert's writing--it was clean and sassy and perfect for a lighter read such as this one. I also found the three main characters to be, if not unique, at least interesting enough to hold my attention. I do wish that more attention had been paid to fleshing out the male characters, but I also realized that this book is clearly about the women and their relationships.
If you are looking for a quick and entertaining beach read, this is one I would recommend. It does hit the right buttons for that sort of book. However, if you are looking for something that goes deeper than the outermost layer of things, I would suggest passing on this one.

Great read plus freebies
Emily Liebert is a new author to me and I am so happy I found her! I loved this book. It was such an entertaining read! The author made this book even sweeter by offering three free lip glosses to all pre-orders in honor of the three main book characters! That was such a nice touch! Now I'm off to hunt down her other books!

Disappointing bit of fluff
I was disappointed with this book. I was expecting it to be a little deeper, grittier and more true-to-life than it is. It starts out that way, but overall, it's just a bit of fluff. The ending was especially disappointing - since the three main characters all miraculously end up with their perfect mate, it sends the distinct message that a woman needs to have the man of her dreams in order to have a happy, fulfilling life.

Life is too short to spend hours reading this.
Trite and utterly predictable. All the characters are stereotypes. I was so bored I skipped the last third and read the final page. Waste of time.

Sweet
This book was wholesome and well written. It reminded me of watching a Hallmark movie because all characters ended up with their perfect ending. Some of the dialogue felt forced, but it doesn't ruin the enjoyment of the story. Annabel's obsession with weight and dieting (which she was projecting on those around her) was very annoying, but understandable because there are many women like that. Overall, this book would be a great way to spend lazy afternoons on the porch.

Loved Some Women
Loved Some Women! I found it to be so much more a page turner than any other "chick lit" I have read recently. I loved how the relationships of the characters developed. I found the story line to be extremely thoughtful, and interesting. A must read for anyone who enjoys chick lit with a little more zing!

Great Gift to Give
I gave this book to my sister for her 40th birthday with a bottle of her favorite wine and the lip gloss and she says she looks forward to a couple of hours with her favorite things each day. She said the book is one that when she is done she will pass on to me and our other sisters to read. We can't wait to read more of Emily's books. Thanks

Loved it!
This is the second book I've read of Emily's and she does not disappoint. I love how her female characters have struggles and emotions that so many woman have. They are so easy to relate to and their lives intertwine beautifully creating such wonderful friendships. I also love how even though these women each go through major things, each is strong in their own ways. Great job, Emily. I am about to start another of your books and can't wait!

Quick-paced....makes you want to be friends with these women! Enjoyable read!
This isn’t typical the genre of books that I read. Don’t know why I ordered it, but I was in for quite a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed this book. No surprises but good stories about the three women.

In the beginning, the story had me engaged. ...
In the beginning, the story had me engaged. I ended up skimming to get to the end, because I always need to know the end of a book. I was completely turned off by the author's forced use of "big" words in her writing, almost as if she wanted it to appear more literary than mass fiction. But there were several instances in which words were used in the wrong context, or just in the wrong manner. For example, the use of the word "suitors" to refer to women that a man was dating. Really? I regret buying another of her books for my Kindle when I was reading the beginning of this book.
