Like stories, Tired of the redundant and unremitting rutting.

I really like her series of books. I like the stories. Not the mindless, repetitive pages of erotica. Ok, they are attracted to each other. It doesn’t have to take a chapter of explicit explanation of what his/her sexual organs look and taste like. Having intense sex a time or two, I can live through because I skip, skip, skip, until I get past all that. But it’s every time you turn around. Is that really what women out there want? Please just write your stories and leave off a hundred or so pages of intense copulation. That, I can’t stand. I really hate to drop her but it’s coming (oops, she could take that and turn into pages of insinuation) to that decision.

BAD! Not worthy of Christine Feehan's name

I have always liked Christine Feehan's books. I read the first 2 Shadow Riders novels and enjoyed them. This book - Shadow Keeper was a huge waste of my money and the time I spent reading it. I am fairly sure that if you took out all the vast amount of fairly explicit sex scenes you would have a short story of fewer than 20 pages. Ms Feehan, you are a very good writer, give us more of the books that meet your higher standards. If you are spread too thin with all your series, then tell your editors to give you more time for each book. Writing like you gave us in Shadow Keeper is just not worthy of your name. Readers give this one a pass. I wish I had.

Not enough story

I've read all of Christine Feehan's books. Unfortunately the shadow series is a big disappointment. 75% of the book is sex. There's nothing wrong with a good sex scene, but when that becomes more important than the actual story, it's disappointing. More plot less sex please!

I like Christine Feehan's books

I like Christine Feehan's books. But I am sick to death of 3/4's of the book is all sex. I find myself just skipping over those parts, which end up not being much else to read. and really talk about distracted driving giving a guy a blow job while driving down the highway. I guess that just shows how much he really cares for her if he is not afraid of wrecking while that is going on.

The powerful, wealthy, gorgeous family that skirts the ...

The powerful, wealthy, gorgeous family that skirts the shadows have a secret, it only adds to their mystery, the Ferraro family. their presence in town is everywhere! A girl from a farm in Wyoming would be definitely out of her element if she even considered an up close and personal with Giovanni. But sometimes wishes do come true, but the small print, and there's always small print....is what happens when those wishes come true?

Loved every adventure filled moment

The third installment of the Shadow Riders series focuses on Giovanni Ferraro, the one who was shot and can’t travel through shadows, so his job has become the quintessential playboy in order to give his family the alibis they need to do their work. He hates it. It has caused him to become jaded and cynical because all of the women he meets only want his money or the publicity his family name can provide, never ever him. Sasha is a waitress in the Ferraro club in Chicago and she unfortunately overheard him tell his brothers and cousins about a game that is vulgar and demeaning. A game based on points earned for having women do certain things without being asked or told; they have to offer it freely or initiate it. The moment Giovanni sees that Sasha has overheard the rules of this game he doesn’t understand his reaction to her anger and judgement of him but the fact that she stands up to him in her own way snags his attention. When he later has to rescue her after she is assaulted by other customers, he whisks her away from the club and that starts the whirlwind relationship between the two. She doesn’t take his crap and she speaks her mind and she doesn’t trust why Giovanni seems to be pursuing her. They are both stubborn and strong willed. When he finds out she is working two full time jobs to pay for her brother’s medical care, he can’t help but admire and respect her more and more and he really wants to take care of her, though she tells him how she feels about that quite succinctly. Sasha has had it rough ever since her parents were killed in a car accident and her older brother suffered a severe brain injury. She knows she doesn’t belong in Giovanni’s world but she can’t help but be drawn to him and see beneath his public persona. When a stalker breaks into her apartment Giovani and the rest of the Ferraro family come to her aid and the conflict becomes more complex and intriguing. They have to work together to figure out who her stalker is and it isn’t a clear cut case to say the least. I loved their adventure. The plot was multifaceted and engaging. The characters were entertaining and strong and I loved coming back to the Ferraro family. The series is really standing out in the Feehan universe for me as one of my favorites for sure.

Shadow Keeper, Giovanni and Sasha's story is wonderful addition to the series

. The Ferraro men have the reputation of being playboy womanizers, but are they? The paparazzi loves to put them on display this way. Might as well feed into it to distract from the truth about their family business. Giovanni is playing the womanizer part when he is called out about it by a waitress at the club, Sasha. And his whole world is turned upside down. Now he has to convince the woman who is meant to be his that he is not how he appears.

Sasha left her home to find work, sacrificing a lot to help her brother, the only family she has left. Suddenly she finds herself part of a paparazzi field day, And the obsession of a stalker.

Christine Feehan does an amazing job taking these two and the Ferraro family on a "hold your breath" adventure of intrigue. Searching out who's after her.

While the two explore who they are to each other and share the attraction neither one can fight. The growth of trust and love is spectacularly written. You feeling the turmoil and the happiness. The heartbreak they face and the strength they give each other.

The choices people make define them more than their position in society. We see generosity among all walks of life as well as depravity. The desire to take advantage of people is a prevalent theme in the Ferraro world. The intrigue as the family sorts through who is to be trusted and who is not draws you to love this family even more. Christine Feehan masterfully writes the family dynamic, leaves hints of what's to come. Making you desire the next story all while enthralled in the story being told.

Giovanni has definitely found his match in Sasha this story shows they absolutely deserve their happily ever after.

great story! a must read for christine fans!

What a great addition to the Ferraro story line. Sasha is a great addition to the female characters. She is feisty and brilliantly stubborn. I Love the Ferraro family and their shadow riding secrets. Can't wait to see the next story in the series. Giovanni was every bit as handsome as he was leathel even though he couldn't ride in the shadows like his brothers. I felt for him. I also felt for Sasha when things were out of her control she stood her ground and didn't back down.
