Lively Thriller

Seven Girls Gone is part of Allison Brennan’s excellent Costa and Quinn series but can be read as a strong standalone. It is a lively, sometimes intense, thriller that moves very quickly and with a number of surprises.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the opportunity to read this great ARC.

Small Town Corruption

Another great book in this series. It was kind of nice not having Catherine in this book as much or at all. It does take Matt awhile to figure some things out personally with Kara but he does get there eventually. It is always hard to read about small town corruption even if it a fiction book. You always feel for the people who have to live in the town but are just regular people wanting to live a decent life and have to put up the bad people who take over a town. This is a fast-paced book and one you won't want to put down. I am leaving this review voluntarily after being sent a free book.

a great read

The book started slow but like all Allison Brennan books, the goal is to give it a chance. And I am glad I did. She paints a vivid pic of Louisiana and the Bayou. A page turner and an intense read. Worth every page

Loved It

This was so good. I am new to Allison Brennan, so I was not sure what to expect. I am thrilled to say I have a new author to catch up on. This story was so good. I was sucked in from the beginning and turned pages as fast as I could. I loved the mystery that was cleverly woven throughout the story. This story gives a little bit of everything, suspense, romance, action and really good villains. Looking forward to the next one.

Quinn and Costa don't disappoint

Seven Girls Gone is the third book in the Quinn and Costa series. I have read the second book, but not the first, and I was happy that this time around some of the team was left back in DC. In the last book I felt a little lost with so many team members to keep track of, but in Seven Girls Gone we get more in depth character development. Set in small town Louisiana, a local detective calls his Navy buddy Michael, who is now on the FBI Mobile Team, when he is in over his head with way too many murders and up against drug dealers, corrupt police, and an incompetent/possibly corrupt medical examiner. The town is rich with sweet old ladies, ruthless drug dealers and girls caught up in the sex trade because life in a small, rural community has dealt them a crappy hand. Oh and don't forget the alligators! A little slow at times, but the ending is satisfying and I look forward to the next entry in the series.

How many is to many?

Allison Breenan does it again. She is an amazing storyteller that keeps you at the edge of your seat. “Seven Girls Gone” hooks you from the 1st paragraph all the way to the last.
The mobile response team is headed off for their next case. Michael is friends with a police officer down in Louisiana, and his friend calls him to help solve a case he has been working on. With the help of the Mobile Response team the case gets blown wide open. Using all of their advantages from the team, the MR Team is able to come in and help solve a year long case.
This story is a great addition to the series and I can’t wait for the next one.

Awesome read..

The fourth installment in the Quinn and Costa series by Allison Brennan is a first read for me in the series. The cover is very inviting .The plot intrigued me enough to want to try the story despite not reading the previous books.I have read this author before, and I have enjoyed her other books. Corruption, missing girls ,and caring detectives are what drew me in. The author is an excellent story teller that keeps you guessing and keeps the pages turning.

Beau Hebert is a police detective that wants to find the person who is killing girls in quiet St. Augustine, Louisiana. Yet, whenever he gets close with a witness, they end up dead. He calls up an old military buddy Mike Costa to help him solve the case of a witness that dies in custody. He brings his FBI mobile response team with Kara Quinn and team to assist in the investigation. Small town cops and small town residents aren't very forthcoming with information since there is more than meets the eye with this town. The corruption goes far beyond this little town ,and the people in charge know more than they are willing to share. The chase is on!

Allison Brennan's writing is top notch. The story keeps you guessing on who is killing the witnesses and the girls. At first you think it's a serial killer, but the author weaves a story that has two answers to that question. The small town dynamics and intelligent detectives are what makes the story so interesting. Her storytelling kept me turning the pages and I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this book and this author. She can spin a web of deceit.
