Love the interviews both on and off the record that she was able to obtain. A must read for any career minded person, whether female or not!

Not what I expected but insightful non-the-less. It opened my eyes and mind to the knowledge that women are all under-earners and although we know it, in some ways we are just okay with it because we're not sure how to free ourselves from this thinking and lifestyle. And it seems that the women who elevated themselves out of the under-earner status acclaimed that it was the simplest of choices that got them there. Nice read.

How is it that some women are such high earners? I've often reflected that I already work hard and I can't imagine working yet even harder in order to reach a six-figure income. However, high-earning women don't necessarily work harder (at some point you just get worn out), they work smarter. This book dispels that myth and a number of others surrounding high earning women. The author uses information she has gathered through interviews and research to unveil how some women are able to earn high salaries. I had several "ah-ha!" moments reading this book and learned some new strategies to do things differently in order to achieve a higher level of success. This was definitely a book I can use and was fun to read. (I had difficulty putting the book down!)

I would definitely recommend this book to any woman who wants to earn more money. However, I would also advise readers to read this in conjunction with a book on personal finance (perhaps one specifically for women, like Lois Frankels's [[ASIN:044657709X Nice Girls Don't Get Rich: 75 Avoidable Mistakes Women Make with Money]]). One disappointing finding from this book is that many high-earning women are not good savers. Don't be one of them - learn to earn and learn to invest in your future as well!

Have you ever wondered what women who earn six figures know that you don't know? Barbara Stanny answers that question in this wonderful book. I am so glad I read it! The style of writing is very conversational and informative. Barbara knows her stuff and shares it well in this book.

The three biggest take-aways for me were:
1. The six figure women felt the fear and challenges and didn't let it stop them.
2. That we need "True Believers" and "Way Show-ers" to help mentor and guide us.
3. The personal assessments in the book helped me to deeply explore my own thoughts about money.

I highly recommend this to every woman who is ready to make a difference in her life!

This is the ONLY book you need, to change your life! This book should be mandatory in schools. The message is simple, the aha moments come fast and furious! Barbara Stanny makes you feel like you are right there with her, and going through the process as she writes!
And if you think this one is incredible, wait until you read Overcoming Underearning... the only sequel that is just as good or better than the original. Great work Barbara, thank you!

This book is amazing. I thought it was just about earning more money but actually it is about the psychology of under earning and how to remove the obstacles of not knowing your worth. It is a must read for every one.

Every time I read this book I learn something new I can apply!
