Good book
I saw this book on a TikTok and I instantly wanted to read it, so I went to Barnes and Noble and they told me they don’t carry it so I checked Amazon & here it was. I was SO excited for this book - the reviews had me very impatient to receive the book and start reading it. It came and I read it in about 4 hours. I started it the same night it was delivered, but I wasn’t thrilled as I read the first few chapters. I decided to try again the next day because I wanted this book so badly. I did end up finishing it. It was a book that is read pretty quickly and easily but I think they hype I was reading about it didn’t fully live up to it as I read it. I was going into it thinking my pulse was going to be racing (like it said on the front cover). But it wasn’t sure it was thrilling and there were some parts that were like OMG but it wasn’t as intense as I imagined. It was a good book though and interesting, especially finishing it in 4 hours. I also think that I read Killing Lessons by Saul Black and that book was definitely more intense.
Overall, a good book, satisfying ending. Just didn’t live up to the hype people were saying in the reviews and on the book itself.
I would rate this book 6.5/10

A crazy fast-paced read that will stay with you
RUN ON RED is absolutely impossible to put down once you crack it open. What starts out as a strange run-in with another vehicle out in the middle of nowhere, becomes an all-out fight for survival for Olivia and Laura. Everything they do only leads to higher stakes, more danger, and even more deadly choices.
This is a fabulous read! Ihli’s writing pulls you right in, until you’re there alongside Olivia and Laura. I appreciate how Ihli writes smart female protagonists and doesn’t give them any outs. These girls must truly live by their wits and their decision making skills. I loved Olivia and Laura as characters, loved their friendship, along with the whole theme of friendship that runs through this book.
Stories like this one make me wonder what I’d do if I were in Olivia and Laura’s position? Would I make the same choices? Would I fare better or worse? This story hung around in my mind for days. RUN ON RED will make your evening vanish into thin air and you'll love every second of it, probably digging through Ihli's backlog for another of her signature pulse-pounding reads.

It’s a good book
I just started reading again after years of not, but I thought this was a good book. The first few chapters were ok and kind of all over. But once I got passed that, it was good. I definitely knew who the masked men were after the author mentioned one man’s name over and over and about the missing girl. All in all, I’m glad I bought it.

Another heart pounding page turner from Noelle Ihli
I loved the other books from this author (especially Ask for Andrea) and decided to try this one out too. So glad I did. I can't get enough of the compelling emotion this author is able to pull out of a page-turning thriller!! So relatable, but wildly fast-paced at the same time. Basically, I want a hundred more books from her...Ha! This would make an awesome movie plot, just like Ask for Andrea. It's a smart, twisted, quick read that will leave you breathless from start to finish. I love when an author ensures that the action hits fast & hard, and this one gets moving within the first chapter. I couldn't put it down. Keep em' coming!

Page Turner
I loved this book. It was fast paced which was something I needed to get me out of my reading slump. There was never a dull moment. I usually don't like 1st person povs but I didn't mind it as much the more I kept reading. The only small problem I have is how many times the word "Volvo" is mentioned. We get that the car is a POS and its old and all that, but I only need to know that it's a Volvo 2 or 3 times.....not 20 or so like its mentioned in the book.

It's got a place on my "Best of 2022" shelf, it's that good.
I was lucky enough to be able to read this early and have already preordered it because I know I'll want to read it again. When I opened the story, I thought I'd read a few pages, maybe a chapter, before bed. Uh huh. I stayed up 'til the wee hours (sorry, day job!) because I couldn't NOT find out what was going to happen next. I'm not sure I've ever "released a breath I didn't know I was holding" (IYKYK) while reading a book, until this one. Scary. Sadly realistic. Fast-paced. SO GOOD.

Check Trigger Warnings
I liked this book a lot! I did not expect it to end how it did. Definitely check the trigger warnings before reading, there is a lot of dark things that happen. I loved it though, it kept me wanting to read because I wanted to know the ending!

Doesn’t live up to the hype
I so desperately wanted to enjoy this book. After reading the rave reviews about it online and listening to all of the people I follow on TikTok saying how it was an edge of your seat thrill ride, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, this was another let down. An easy 280 page, one sitting read that was a major disappointment.
Not wasting any time on character or plot development, we are ushered right into the thick of it. Olivia, and her best friend, Laura are on their way to a bonfire hosted by the college sorority and fraternity when suddenly a truck begins to tailgate them and attempts to run them off the road. The road gets narrower and their predicament becomes more precarious as the pages drag on. The situation quickly becomes dire and what they thought was going to be a night of college frivolity, turns into a life or death battle of survival.
Personally, though it was a breeze of a read, I found the plot to be predictable and overdone. When I reached the epilogue, I was yawning in boredom and grateful it was over. Sadly, not a book I would recommend.

The Tension Never Ends!
In "Run On Red," Noelle Ihli begins with an unsettling scenario that quickly turns into a high tension tour de force of predator vs. prey.
There is no reprieve from the relentless anxiety as you are assaulted with the external, and internal worlds of Olivia.
The plot is as sordid and complex as the villains themselves.
The writing is grounded in reality which makes it exponentially more terrifying.
If your looking for a thriller that lives up to the genre, you won't want to miss "Run on Red."

what a ride! A Non-stop thriller!
I wasn't bored for a second! Noelle knows how to write a thriller. Wow! I loved how she wove in the backstory of the main characters without making you wait for the next bit of excitement. The entire book, from the first page to the last, was exciting! I will be reading more of her books!
