Features & Highlights

  • Twelve friends from the online group, Romantic Hearts Book Club, decide to finally meet in person during a destination Caribbean vacation to beautiful Enchanted Island. While of different ages and stages in life, these ladies have two things in common: 1) they are diehard romantics, and 2) they’ve been let down by love. As a wildly silly dare during her last night on the island, each heroine decides to stuff a note in a bottle addressed to her “dream hero” and cast it out to sea! A bottle found... When his mother discovers a message in a bottle washed up on a Florida beach, Tanner Thomas scoffs at her insistence he contact the person who penned the note. With a vague promise to think about it, Tanner promptly tucks the bottle away and goes on with his life. Two years later, he finds the bottle in the back of a closet and can't get the woman off his mind. Tormented by thoughts of the author of the sweet, romantic letter, Tanner finally reaches out to the old-fashioned girl, unprepared to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

Absolutely must read this book!!!! Loved it!!!

I absolutely loved this book from the opening letter in the bottle to the very last word! Tanner's meddling mother was certain the mystery woman from the letter was "the one". Due to past experience with his mother's set ups, he wasn't convinced. After Tanner starts conversing with this mystery woman via email, his interest is piqued and he decides to meet her.

Rose is a beautiful, old-fashioned girl whose had her heart broken and decided to live a life of selling antiques and teaching how to make crafts. Then, she meets Tanner and a perfectly beautiful romance begins.

I could have read Rose and Tanner's story forever and hated for it to end! It's the perfect story for a romantic summer read or anytime at all! This is definitely one of my favorite books I've read!

Vicariously experience true love

The first thing I need to say is I loved the name of the heroine, since it’s not often that I see my name in a book. That being said, I would love this book regardless of the name. The relationship of Rose and Tanner develops from the unusual event of her placing a message in a bottle looking for true love. Two years later, Tanner reluctantly decides to please his mother and reply to the message that his mother found. From this point on, the story follows the standard operating procedure of an online meeting, so common today. Many of the details of their correspondence are lacking, and that is the only problem I have with this book. The emails included are witty and intelligent and I wish there were more.
Rose and Tanner meet early in the book, and the well written story of their developing relationship easily draws you into the story. The reader can vicariously experience both “true love” and disappointment, and there is certainly the opportunity for a tear or two along the way. The descriptions of the Oregon coast are just an extra delight.
I was blessed with an ARC for an honest review, which I am giving voluntarily, and I highly recommend this sweet book.

Rose is such a sweet story! My only complaint is that it was too short! 🙂

Fun read!

Rose is yet another fun read from Shanna Hatfield. I loved Rose's character, her confidence, her quirks, and her obsession with the days of yore. I so wished her shop was real so I could visit there! I love old fashioned things and values and this book was great in that area. I enjoyed the process of Rose and Tanner getting to know each other and I loved there happy ending. Worth the read if you're looking for a fun, sweet romance with original, quirky characters.

**I received a copy of this book from the author and have chosen to review it. My opinions are my own.

This is such a sweet story. Rose put a note in a bottle ...

This is such a sweet story. Rose put a note in a bottle and then set it adrift. It was found by a woman in Florida. The woman gave the bottle to her son and made him promise he would contact the woman who wrote the note. She just knew they would be perfect for each other. Tanner promised his mom he would contact her, but shoved the bottle and note to the back of a closet. Two years later, he tried to get rid of it but couldn't. He finally contacted Rose by email. Taking a chance, he went to see Rose and they fell instantly in love. The only problem is they live so far apart. How will a long distance relationship work and survive?

Wonderful reading

This is a wonderful story in a series of twelve stories where twelve women write a letter describing their dream man and put them into a bottle and throw them in the sea.
In this one Rose' s is not found by her dream man but by his mother and he puts her bottle in the back of his closet for two years before he remembers it and then finally reads the letter.

I really enjoyed this story with Rose and Tanner

I really enjoyed this story with Rose and Tanner. Tanner's mom found the bottle and after reading the letter inside, gave it to her son. After reading the letter myself I thought, how is she going to swing this story. Woman like Rose are hard to find but a man like Tanner is even harder. These 2 characters were a great match. Shanna Hatfield kept us in the here and now with some old fashioned values. I am voluntarily reviewing this book given to me by the author under no obligation.

Great read

Another great stand alone read in this series. Loved the way Rose and Tanner interacted in this story. Growing up were different for both of them but love finds a way to smooth everything out in the end.

Wonderful, Romantic Story

This is a sweet wonderful addition to the series. Tanner is the type of man most women are looking for. Rose is sweet and old fashioned but is an author of thriller books. She belongs to a group of 12 women on an online romantic book club. They meet on Enchanted Isle for a vacation. The last night they decide to write a note to their ideal man, put it in a bottle and throw it in the ocean. They put their email address on the note and wait to see if the note is found. Tanner's mother finds the note and tells him she is the "one" for him. The relationship is long distance and a bit of a challenge. This is a very romantic story and I loved it. I received as ARC of this book. I am giving my honest opinion in this review and it is freely given.
