Fantastic Adventure!

Fantastic return to this newest series by Evangeline Anderson! Hunky, sexy Grav is my perfect ideal of the alien protector who will give his life for a woman or female child in his care.
Leah is a woman who initially needs his help but soon finds her hidden strength and they work together on their missions through the galaxy.
Excited for book 3

I’m just in love with the possibilities!

I love this new series! The first book is “Abducted” which is a great story, now you have “Protected”, and I’m just in love with the possibilities! I also like the potential of several new and interesting characters added to the series, due to the many different types of aliens. This author knows how to write a Sci-Fi, I love the humor, suspense, and let’s not forget about hot steamy parts that makes you ache. I know this sounds funny but I do love the “body” of the bad guy in this one. If only wishes could come true, this would be a good one to have. (LOL) I have to admit my family and I went camping while I was reading this and I would get up super early so I could read my book and go to bed early too. I am looking forward to the next book “Descended”, Charlotte’s story; I know it will be just as great. This is a series worth picking up and reading. If you're still not sure, just try a sample first!
I won this ARC, and giving it an honest review.

Sizzling hot alien romance with a splash of adventure

Received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Grav is a big scarred alien with a mysterious checkered past that causes him to keep everyone at a distance. Grav has turned into a respected protector despite being wanted as convict that broke out of a max prison. Leah is an abused wife who has become this meek lioness needing to be encouraged to show her true powers. When Grav is sent to protect Leah he is forced to confront his own past and Leah finally has the opportunity to blossom. The book was a fast paced read where the pages literally sizzled with all the sexual tension between the two characters. As with most of this authors books along with her sexual angst she's got plenty of talent in writing plots and this series doesn't fall short as the plot of the series is definitely being built. The new Alien Mate Index is a must read!

This book just kept me reading.

Such an interesting, enjoyable read. Love all the aliens we are meeting. Ms Anderson is weaving one hell of an interesting storyline for me.
A really, really great story with lots of new information about all the universes out there. Has some wonderful oh wow moments, also one annoying one.
Loved Grav, he is a gentle giant complex character with a sad background story, he was fantastic apart from his silliness over bonding with Leah. He was just such an amazing character with so many different sides to him.
I felt sorry for Leah and her situation with her abusive husband. She has amazing character to bounce back into life the way she did, really liked how she came into her own La-Ti-Zal powers later in the book. Apart from Leah doing something stupid as to touch or do something on a strange planet and then not tell the truth about what has happened and putting her life in danger. Not too impressed with her in some parts but I wonder how I would react in those situations. I hope I would be smarter in some respects, but who knows, it is a big place out there. Aside from that I really admired and liked her.
I just hate it when a TSTL moment happens, had one in book 1 as well. It might create tension in the story but annoys the hell out of me when the heroine comes across as sensible and capable.
This can be read as a standalone without any loss of enjoyment but to understand and join in with my fears (see below) reading book 1 would be a good idea.
Loved that Gerald got his comeuppance just wish someone would kill Delosoro, I keep thinking Terminator. I am scaring myself.
This is my honest review of this book.

Loved this book! *Spoiler Free*

***Spoiler Free Review***
I personally hate spoilers. As such, my review is safe to read :)

Not every author could pull off a writing about a horned hero, but EA definitely can. I love her Brides of the Kindred series and if you do too, the AMI will not disappoint you. Reading this new series feels like buying your favorite sweater just in a different color. It's still familiar and you love it for oh so many reasons, but it's still different at the same time.

Grav is the quintessential alpha, teddy bear hero. Mean looking and vicious to his enemies, yet has a special soft spot for females. Leah is a strong heroine who after losing one of her best friends seems to lose her way. Then Grav comes to her rescue she finds her true self. I have to say I thought it was going to be hard to top the first book in this new series, but as usual, EA did not disappoint.

The action was right from the start and it didn't stop. But even then we got a brilliant foreshadowing of the next book in the series.

The only problem I have with this book is that EA writes her heroes so intriguingly that I end up falling for a new book boyfriend with every new book she writes. I feel like I have a harem of book boyfriends and its filled to capacity with all of EA's heroes and Grav is the king of the harem.

I can't wait for the rest of the series!

I love Leah and Grav's story!!!

I loved this book much more than the first one. This is an amazing story that while it keeps the over-arching storyline of the series, their adventure is so different from the first book. Leah is an amazing character and you can read her growth as a person as the story moves along, building confidence in herself along the way. She leaves an abusive situation on earth to explore a whole new world with her protector Grav. Grav is an ex-con who is a protector, but he is also a man and every so often during the book I wanted to give him a smack upside the head. LOL. He is kind. He is honorable but sometimes he cannot see the trees for the forest. (But he his still my favorite hero of the two books. I am not going to bother with a synopsis of the book because you can read that in the book description and to say anything could possibly be seen as a spoiler. I would rather the reader experience the story for themselves. But this is a great read. I am so hooked now and now I have to to impatiently wait for the next installment to arrive. Buy this book and if you haven't already done so, get the first one and read that too. I do not think you will be disappointed,

I received an ARC for an honest review from the author.

I liked this one just as much as the first in ...

I liked this one just as much as the first in the Abducted series. The story was completely different, and it addressed an issue so close to home, spousal abuse. Grav was watching the AMI, keeping an eye on his wards as he had promised Zoe and Sarden in the previous book, when he witnesses Leah being beaten by her husband. There's an entire scene that simply leaves your heart pounding with fear for her and hope that he can save her.

Instead of him kidnapping Leah, she volunteers to assist him with the rescue of his first ward, Teeny. The adventure leads them from one fantastic situation to the next. There were moments when they'd be in the middle of something, and I thought things were going too easy. Then Ms Anderson would turn the tables and we'd be having a completely different experience. The feelings ran up and down like a roller coaster. Sometimes my stomach would clench in concern for the characters, and other times I would laugh out loud. But as is her usual way, the sex was off the charts, and the characters were unsure up to the very end. And what kind of tale would it be without the ominous, self-important, why-doesn't-he-die-already, bad guy, Doloroso. It was a fantastic story, and new characters keep popping up that could be cause for another book in the series. I'm looking forward to seeing what she has in store for Charlotte in the next one.
