Perfect for group study!

This is a wonderful study book and is filled with heartfelt messages that are very relatable. I purchased the book as well and Shauna Niequist speaks from the heart and although I feel it's geared more for women, I believe many men could relate to it as well.

Fine for personal use, not for leading a Small Group.

Fine if you want to go through it by yourself or a few friends and have the time. For leading a small group, It actually was more confusing and frustrating to use than anything. Started this book for my group, which I love! but now will be forced to form my own questions due to the poor quality of the content in the Study Guide.

Some good insights, no matter what type you are.

If you are a driven, active, overachiever, then you will likely get something from this study guide and the book that goes with it. Even though that's not my nature, there were still some good insights.

Absolutely beautiful!

I am an author myself and the parent of a child who suffered a devastating iatrogenic brain injury as an infant. After10 years, he is finally on his way to complete restoration. I am so super MASSIVELY bummed to see the negative reviews of this book. Feel like it probably has more to do with the spiritual lacking of readers rather than the author? I have lived a life of what I would consider, privilege, that was altered irrevocably when my son became violent, non verbal, unreachable, inconsolable, and profoundly ill.

While the author and I have such remarkably different lives, I found her pilgrimage and sacrifice in writing such a raw and beautiful book utterly exquisite. I know what it is to believe everyone thinks you have it all, only to feel profoundly empty...and longing for the love of the Savior that was actually there all along. Thank you Shauna for this most lovely contribution.

Lack of reliable translation

Super disappointing to find all verses in the workbook are from The Message. Would not have purchased knowing that ahead of time.
