Years before Pebbles took flight, nine-year-old Joey wrote his first comic book series about a disgruntled ketchup packet who resents being discarded and turns into The Ketchup Monster .Today, Joey works and lives in Brooklyn, New York, as an Amazon account manager for his family-owned apparel business, The Bentex Group. During his free time, he enjoys engaging in religious studies, listening to TED Talks, and playing tennis.

This is a wonderful book that kids are sure to love and learn from!

When choosing an early learning book for my child, nieces and nephews, I've always looked for the four E's: entertaining, engaging, exciting and educational. This book has all of that and more!

With learning higher numbers that I haven't seen normally taught in early learning materials, this book also covers real-world examples of quantities featuring those numbers that will make it easy for your child to comprehend and provoke thought about the world they live in. Filled with colorful images and extraordinary facts, this is a work that not only teaches mathematics, but it also teaches science that is sure to amaze not only kids but parents too!

It's a book that parents can read with their kids that is sure to spark conversation in a really fun way. Adults and kids alike can learn things and expand their knowledge and curiosity as they adventure with Pebbles and the friends that he makes along the way. This was a treat for my family, and I'm sure it will be a treat for yours too! Get ready for big learning and adventure with Pebbles the butterfly and his search for the biggest number!

A stand out childrens book

As someone with two small children, I have read my fair share of children’s books. (Seriously, too many to count.) I will say this is one of the most original. This is such a unique and creative way to teach math and science as well as introduce children to different animals and climates.
The word count is higher than a lot of children’s books for early readers, but it has a nice flow and doesn’t feel like it’s dragging. Since early reader books are often read to the child by an adult, there is value in making a book that adults like as much as the children. This book does an excellent job appealing to all ages because the facts added are things most adults don’t even know. I loved learning all the different bits of trivia. I highly recommend this book!

So many fun facts!

This book is so sweet, colorful, and bursting with information - perfect for rereading. My little and I have already read through it three times: following Pebbles’ main story, then reading the fun facts on the side, and finally just watching the numbers get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger! The ‘twist’ at the end is very charming (and also makes a lot of sense haha)

(My only small complaint is how wide the book is and how many extra non-story pages there are. It’s hard to hold and turn pages one-handed. Still, the illustrations look even better in print than kindle.)

Strong recommendation! It’s a book I know we won’t get tired of rereading any time soon.

Lovely story that's informative and entertaining

When it arrived in the box, my 5 yo took it to the side and imagined a story all on her own. The illustrations helped her do that because they're just amazing.

Then when I read it to her, she was super captivated by the story, especially the parts where she learns are about many zeros are in a number. She has to count the zeros everything. (And I even learned that trillion wasn't the biggest "number").

Aside from the story, there are so many fun facts for both kids AND adults.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone. And I hope it'll be in libraries everywhere soon! To the author and the illustrator, keep creating

Wonderful Addition to Any Children's Collection or Classroom

I've worked in education for 10 years and have a degree in math - this is one of the best children's books I have read that focuses on math. It is engaging and fun as a story and the math doesn't feel forced. It can easily be read as just a storytime story, or as the center of a math lesson by diving into each page. It is rare that I come across a book that would be equally enjoyable in both a reading nook or a math less, but Pebbles really succeeds at this!

Bugs, Numbers, and Adventure

I love the bright colors and the diversity of tones on the page; it creates a welcoming and fun tone just at a glance. There’s a great balance of busyness and empty space on the page so that the spread is exciting but not overwhelming. The art style is lovely—I see a lot of children’s books nowadays using uncanny CGI art or weird photoshop jobs, so it’s refreshing to see a unique and specific art style for a children’s book. The vocabulary is simplistic and accessible, great for children, and the creator's done a great job laying out the words on the page between both Pebbles’ story and the interluding fun facts so that there’s no chance for reader fatigue to develop. It all comes together to make a strong balance of knowledge and fun.
