Another great book from JD

I have bought several Paracord Fusion books written by JD Lenzen and have followed his paracord knotting instructions online for several years. I preordered Paracord Critters the minute I knew it was available, received it several days ago and am very pleased. His written instructions are precise and understandable and the pictures are colorful and beautiful. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age who is interested in learning paracord knotting.

Okay if you have a GREAT imagination... Best for children, truly!

IMHO, you have to have quite the imagination to actually figure out what the critter is without looking at the name.It is truly best for children who love to do crafts. If you ADORE every one of the creatures on the front, by all means, buy the book, but my BF only liked one of the critters well enough to make it. It was a gift that bombed (let me restate that, it was a REQUESTED gift that bombed, but was for an adult)- and the best critters are on the cover for sure. I would not know the turtle WAS a turtle had they not placed it in the sand with some Jelly Belly eggs! The dragonfly was the only one I personally liked. Do YOU know what the bottom middle picture is of? I didn't!! BTW- it is a jellyfish...

Very disappointing...........

Just received the book awhile ago and am very disappointed. Some of the critters are not what I expected. Really, a barnacle?! And a lobster tail?! And a trilobite?! But the worst thing is that the photos have dark backgrounds. My vision is not great, I admit, but why do people use dark backgrounds in photos? In some of them the cord is also kind of dark, even. There's nowhere near enough contrast or light.

Review before you buy

Not as good as the write-ups and some of the projects require a lot of imagination, go to the Library or review online before you make a purchase. I have other books he has authored and this is a disappointment. No doubt the pictures and techniques explained are what you expect but the projects????

12 fun projects

Love JD's books! Lots of bright colors and easy to follow instructions. Although a couple of the critters don't resemble anything, the rest look like they're supposed to (ie you can tell what they are). There are 12 in all. I was hoping there were a few more critters than that when I bought the book and I'm still wishing there were a few more. Oh well.

Nice variety

Nice little book. Yes you can find these on the web but having the book is great when you are working with kids and not hooked up to the electronic world. The pictures are nice as in all of his other books. Nice addition to my library.

Lots you can learn

I bought this for my son . He likes making more creatures. The only think I would do different is have it more step by step in the book with pictures and words . Other than that this is a good book
