Features & Highlights

  • In the vein of
  • New York Times
  • bestselling authors Susan Mallery and Kristan Higgins comes a women's fiction novel about moving forward and mending relationships after two sisters are torn apart by a devastating betrayal.
  • Lately, just thinking about gowns and centerpieces makes her want to hide under the covers with her dog and a good book --one that doesn't include a romantic plot, thank you very much. Maybe it's because her fiance cheated. Or maybe it's because he cheated with her younger sister, Charlotte. Or maybe it's because her newfound reputation as jilted wedding planner isn't exactly doing wonders for her career. Charlotte knows she messed up. Big time. But she also knows something Kate doesn't-something that might bring them close again, if her sister will ever take her calls. But as time passes and silence grows, Charlotte begins to realize she can't hide from her problems forever, and that sometimes the only place to run is home. With the wedding only a week away, Kate expects a few surprises. But what she doesn't expect is to find herself believing...in the strength of family, and the possibility of finding love again.

Grabbed my attention right from the start and kept me captivated up to the very end.

One Week to the Wedding is the first book in the brand new Misty Point series, and I must state that I was pleasantly surprised! It grabbed my attention right from the start and kept me captivated up to the very end.

Olivia Miles has a true talent for bringing her characters to life and drawing the reader in and actually care about the outcomes of the situations that occurred within the story. One Week to the Wedding is a truly wonderful story about giving love a second chance, following your dreams, and learning to forgive. It was so much fun getting acquainted with all of the characters. The story line flows effortlessly and is the perfect choice to add to your summer reading list. It was truly a heartwarming reading experience and a great start to this new series. I highly recommend this one to any fan of romance and assure you that you won't be disappointed in the least.

... book that I have read of Olivia Miles and like the last two books she did not disappoint

This is my third book that I have read of Olivia Miles and like the last two books she did not disappoint. Olivia does a great job of mixing both romance, heartbreak and a little bit of humor all into one book. This is the first in the series of Misty Point so she did a great of introducing a variety of characters into the book in addition to the main characters so that you could play around in your head with who the next story was going to be about.

In regards to character development I think Olivia did a great job of giving you enough description of what occurred in Kate's past as well as Alec's but didn't spend a huge amount of time on it where you felt like it over powered their romance developing.

With storyline and how she built Alec and Kate's romance I felt she did a good job on this as well. I am glad she didn't make them fall head over heels in love right away because that is just unrealistic with what Kate went through. It was nice to see those characters really develop through out the book.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series about Charlotte's story and get to read her fall in love but also read about her relationship mend with her sister Kate!

Great new series!

Great beginning to a new series. This book is about the importance of family and second chances. Kate is a wedding planner who is currently planning her sister's wedding. While planning she meets the groom's brother, Alec, who I loved. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.
